  1. Surprised by the wheel comments. They are more simplistic and I think really suit the car. The other offerings are sooooo fussy.
  2. Nav screen looks awesome and I really like the wheels. Shame they are heavier than the other ones available on the rcf. Looks much nicer imo. Could the nav be fitted to the older models?
  3. Nope, just YouTube just now! Seems a great option though.
  4. Just titanium tips but at the price available below for primary cat back seems very good value. Also, only 950 for the secondary cat back system. https://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/exhaust/exhaust-systems/invidia-lexus-rc-f-14-cat-back-exhaust-with-midpipe-rolled-titanium-quad-tips.html
  5. I would sell but the idea is (and will hold true for my plate) that it wont go up in value. I guess the reason I initially responded was that folk do this and then move the plate to a different car and seeing a merc with 'M3' on is just daft. If you intend to keep the plate then getting something more personal makes sense. If you are prepared for the sunk cost and not moving the plate to a new car then that's cool as well.
  6. A personalised plate won’t make an owner look better so maybe I miss understand that comment? The idea is a personal plate is that it wouldn’t appeal to someone else, that’s why it’s a personal plate. The idea being not to profit from it but not to sell it either. Id be interested to see if a model specific car adds any value to a car at all. If there were two cars with identical spec and mileage would someone pay more for one with a model specific plate? Not sure they would. Like me I said in my post though. We are all different and thank goodness for that. We spend out money on areas that please us.
  7. We are all different but I like the idea of the plate that looks like your name and you can keep it for all your cars. I do ‘waste money on cars’ according to my wife with exhausts that I sell after I sell a car and ppf etc so I am no saint but could not see myself paying for a plate I would sell with the car and get no value for it. As I say, we are all different. If you can snag ‘f1 rcf’ for a low price of below £500 all in that’s not too shabby.
  8. The market for a model specific plate, especially on a car like the rcf is limited to say the least. If you like it then go for it but having a plate you can move between cars makes more sense to me. If you spend money on the plate I would be amazed if a dealer or private buyer saw any value in it so it would be a sunk cost.
  9. I don’t get brand or model plates. What happens when you move on? I have seen a few ‘m3’ plates or similar plates on completely different cars. Get a plate that means something to you. I bought a plate with my initials (6 characters in total) for 280 ish o seem to recall and it works on all cars.
  10. Is it though? That is mega mileage for the age. Seat bolster wear and all sorts of other wear for the age as well mechanical etc. If a buyer doesn’t intend to sell for many years then agree but otherwise it’s a lot of mileage. When you consider a car can be had for 3k more with 24k miles it’s not such a bargain at all.
  11. Don’t disagree but if it is available easily and without replacing parts and spending a fortune I would never say no!
  12. Appreciate that and it’s a bigger capacity engine but still great to know the power can be had for as little as £500. In this instance an ecu tune. https://www.quantumtuning.co.uk/car-remap-tuning-remapping.aspx?&make=Lexus&range=RC F
  13. That’s what I thought until I researched he v8 Merc amg. You can get 50hp ish with a tune alone and run the car safely at that hp. Which is just over 500hp at the fly wheel.
  14. I assume the rcf is as difficult to tune as the isf? When I say this I mean £££ needed for decent gains. To get good gains from the isf it needs headers, decat and aftermarket exhaust then a tune. Is the rcf the same? Research suggests it is but am am I correct? Stu
  15. As others have said the isf is the better car. It can take track punishment and keep asking for more. Linear v8 power delivery, great brakes and built really well. Basically instead of spending money fixing niggles or upgrading brakes you can actually enjoy it. As mentioned swap the front seats for weight saving and maybe the wheels and exhaust as well for looks and weight. Job done!
  16. I really do think the rcf will do what the isf did and gain more and more fans the longer it is around. Folk didn’t care for the isf when it was released but the longer it was around and people realised just how good it was the more positive the press is about it. Savagegeese, one take and others seem to love it from different perspective and different reasons, it did very will against the m4 on 5th gear. It gets so much praise for ease of drivability on the limit. It’s time will come.
  17. If bought for the owning dealer (Lexus bought from Lexus) they should be liable for the compensation of some sort as the car will be less desirable to many people and so less valuable. If bought from any other garage they can’t possible be held accountable as they wouldn’t know.
  18. Not unless it was substantially lower priced compared to rival cars that were not press cars. If nothing else there will always be the perception it have been abused, even if it has been well maintained by Lexus. As a result is will be less desirable than non press cars and harder to sell.
  19. Gloss black wheels pick up scratches like you wouldn’t believe! Had them on my Evora and yeah, looked ruined very quickly. A matte or flatter finish would look better in the wheels imo.
  20. Second that. Absolutely stunning in person. Preferably with black interior though. The cream/white interior must mark horribly.
  21. You can get a v8v s for 60k. Gearbox is supposed to be .... well.... slow.
  22. That is what you would expect as the summer approaches. Not too long ago there were 5 carbon ones for sale I seem to recall. 2016 plates will be getting to 3 years old soon and will be coming on to the market as well as people selling as the summer comes to an end. So I would expect more cars to be available late this year and early next year.
  23. Indeed, not too long ago there were 4 or 5. I would expect there to be fewer this time of year as summer approaches. Also, I expect towards the end of summer more will become available again. Also, the 2016 MY cars will be coming in the market as they become 3 years old.
