    Has anyone replaced the chrome strip set into the front bumper of an LS430 ? I only mention the front one because my rear chrome insert is perfect.

    Lexus told me that if the tensioner required replacement they would call me. So the cost was for the replacement of the Cam Belt only.

    I didn't actually buy the gear change Knob. I would have paid £30 to £35 But not £350. That's a joke.

    Having tried a few garages that I trust , I took the old girl to Leicester Lexus, £295 Outstanding !

    To make my " New to me " LS430 100% I thought I'd order a new gear shift knob. £350 --- OUCH ! The chrome trim around the shift lever --- £74 OUCH again. I'll buff the chrome trim. LoL

    Oh yes. Apparently they tried to get him on 5 previous occasion's ,this time they want to prosecute. I was asked if I was prepared to testify in court.

    Eff. I think your looking at the near side rear tail light on a Peugeot 207 that has come to rest on it's side. On the up side , the scroat in the Peugeot's insurance won't cover HIS car because he fitted none standard wheels without informing his insurance company. According to the police.

    My desolation was short lived, next week after my holiday in Jersey I'm travelling to Dundee to relieve Allister of his LS430. Can't wait, AND it's the same colour as mine but with more woodwork !! Happy I am. (Said like Yoda )

    How I ended up like that is a long story Eff, in short, the chav rammed into my offside rear, once off the road and onto the grass there was no stopping her. Side swiped a tree destroying the near side then I think a wheel dug in and spun the car 180° finally coming to a stop when the rear end hit another tree.

    A friend of mine warmed up some Wax Oil and dribbled it behind the chrome strip then wiped off the excess.

    I tried to post some pictures from my phone whilst waiting for the breakdown truck, this should work now. I got out of the car scott free apart from the proverbial whiplash. Interesting point, the Traffic Officer said that had it been a lesser car he would have been dealing with a fatality, Rock on Lexus. When the police first came to the scene they radioed in for an Air Ambulance and were surprised to see me emerge from the car, the only scratch I received was when I finally got out of the car I stood up and hit my head on an overhead branch. LoL

    My son recommended Renapur leather cleaner , then I realised that's what I've been using for years. LoL

    I'm looking for a quality leather cleaner that can be used on the home suite & my Lexus seats. Two points I want to take on board , I don't want to block the vent holes in the heated seats. I don't particularly trust the reviews , I often get the feeling that there's a hidden agenda. Any "From experience" recommendations ?

    My car has a fault on both rear side windows, a little grey area at centre bottom. I was quoted £400 each for a second hand one that would be guaranteed for life !! Whatever that's worth.

    Thanks for contacting me, I have trawled through your posts about the Lexus and briefly saw some photographs showing an LPG filler point next to the petrol cap. Can I find your original post to sell the car ? Not a chance. Perhaps it's because I'm accessing the site via my phone. Can I trouble you for the details of the car ? Best regards, Ron.

    I had my LS430 done last year by Professional Autogas for a cost of £1500. It's a Stag , guaranteed for life system that is outstanding, I have never yet felt a changeover and even when I'm not moving , if I switch the gas off and back on again there's absolutely no faltering. I'm supremely happy with my installation.

    I've ended up with Swinton of all companies, and paid £193.70 No claims protection and £250 excess. Quite happy with that.

    Thank you very much for that kind offer. His last communication to me was that he's moving the car to London where he lives. He never did answer my question , is there anything about the car that would put me off buying it ? So, frankly, I've gone off the idea.
