  1. Am I missing something? Put the a/c on today using the auto button then varying the temperature setting. I cannot see how to turn the a/c off without going into the climate control, settings, turning it off. Turning off the auto button does not do it.
  2. Another 80 miles today on A and B roads driving steady, now up to 53mpg over 700 miles.
  3. That’s good, are you happy with that? Yesterday i did about 60 miles on B roads and some A roads. Driving like the pensioner I am, in eco mode I am now on 51.8 over my first 600 miles. I am very happy with that. one thing I have noticed about my UX is all the noises when the ignition is put on and today I was standing by the rear door when my wife turned off the car what a strange noise from the battery in the boot. Between a screech and a scape.
  4. Thanks, that is what I did today. Lucy Lexus (that’s what we call her) also pronounces the road numbers differently. For example the A4174 near us is now the “A four thousand one hundred and seventy four” and says please with some instructions. 😂
  5. Is there a setting to make the radio mute or quieten when a sat nav instruction is given. Did my IS do that, I think it did but I am sure somebody knows. Thanks
  6. I am getting 50mpg + or - 0.5 since picking it up. I use eco mode, very light right foot, both pensioners so mostly short journeys. Average speed around 25mph. Total 500 miles.
  7. Sounds like you are happy, same as me. On the satnav comment, I have reduced the contrast which takes some of the colour away and makes the white border stand out a little more. Definitely needs a colour setting.
  8. Run flats on my Premium Plus as well. Did not even know they were run flats until the subject came up. Enough said.
  9. Order time? I waited 382 days 😂😂 I put a provisional deposit down March 8th 2018 because I knew I wanted one even before full pictures were available. After 4 weeks these are my thoughts. Seats are very good for us as we both use the same position to drive. I have done a couple of run outs on A roads, no motorways, and mostly all short trips that retired people do and I am averaging 51. On electric at a higher speed and longer. The front seats would have to come forward if you have long legged rear passengers but that’s not an issue for us. Rear power door is great. With the extra weight over the front wheels the power steering has been increased so for me it’s lighter than my old IS. Still trying to put the foot brake on when I park, there is not one, works through the park position. The hold button for when you are hills works well then you do not have to keep your foot on the foot brake. There has been a lot of talk about the boot but it’s ok for us and about the same as the CT which I had on loan for month before my UX arrived. There is also the recess under the boot bottom for larger items. We are finding the text on the coloured sat nav not as good as it’s a smaller black font with a white border. Great for getting in and out with old knees. Europe has to put up with the American spelling of tyre, it’s tire on the tyre pressure display 😖 Because there are no cills on the car body the doors are longer in the height so be careful with cambered pavements. My IS was a 2015 so I have noticed a much smoother quieter ride. I am very happy with mine and well worth the wait.
  10. Folding mirrors on locking only on Takumi spec. Dealers only allowed to put Takumi models in the showroom so you will only see the full spec. Anybody noticed a resonance type sound when cold in the mornings and the engine is running faster (like having the choke on in prehistoric days) goes after a very short distance and does not come back all day even if the engine is cold again. It’s just a morning thing for me.
  11. Best Lexus by a mile since my first Lexus in 2007. You need only look at the all the door and hatch seals to see the extent that quietness and smoothness has been improved. Better than my IS300h and I have had two of those. This second generation engine transmission is a big improvement, mainly short journeys I am doing 51mpg. While washing mine this morning found that you cannot lift the wipers away from the screen. They will only lift just enough to wipe underneath along the bottom of the windscreen. Great car.
  12. Mine was the first in Bristol by a few days. Brilliant car. Read the relevant parts of the manual several times as it will seem difficult in the beginning.
  13. After just over a week I can say this is the best Lexus I have had, for smoothness and for being so quiet. I have Lexus’s for 12 years now 3 IS250 with the 6 cylinder engine which was a peach but you could watch the fuel gauge going down if you put your foot down to overtake. Then 2 IS300h which were very good but this UX is so much much better. Higher mpg, on battery more, the only way it could be quieter is if it did not touch the road like a certain Delorien. You cannot hear the engine kick in when coming off battery which you could in the IS. Brilliant car.
  14. Page 101 in the manual. On the steering wheel on the right hand side buttons (3 o’clock position) Press right hand button to turn on, indicator on the main screen. Get to the speed you want and press the lower left button to SET. Once set those two buttons become speed up and slow down. To cancel the big button in the middle. Tried to get my voice commands set today and it’s still as useless as it’s always been, Lucy Lexus does not understand Bristolian. 😂 Tyre pressure. Ignition on, left had side of the steering wheel you have 4 arrows, up, down, left and right. Press the button down button and the display to the left of the speedo will scroll through the options, tyre pressure showing all 4 wheels will come up. Keep scrolling in the same direction to get back to where you were. I believe if the tyre pressures get too low it will appear automatically.
  15. I am in Warmley and mine is White. May see you around.
  16. Did about 80 miles in mine today and it’s so much better than my old IS. Quieter, running on battery much longer and at higher speed than my IS. The boot is fine for two 70 year olds and getting in and out great. I do not want a big car so the price compared to the NX is not important. Only negative so far is the map, it’s coloured and the text is smaller with a white hallo against the background, fine for the younger generation but they should have considered older people with variafocal lenses. Other than that very very pleased.
  17. Its home at last, 382 days after putting down the deposit.
  18. Looked at my car yesterday. Sonic white with rich cream leather with Premium Plus pack, very happy. Final specs only reached the dealers last week. A little disappointed that no 10 inch screen, F sport and Takumi only. Manual seats, electric seats only with tech and sound pack, no folding mirrors on lock, that’s F Sport and Takumi only. Does have the power hatch with the close sensor under the rear. And a nice textured leather finish to the top of the dash. still covered in plastic bits and a waxed finish to the paintwork. Anyway it is what it is and still very happy. PDI Monday, valet Tuesday morning and I will be driving away with it Tuesday afternoon. First one in Bristol.
  19. Will be getting my UX by next Tuesday. Only 382 days sine the deposit.
  20. I could have wrote that. Exactly what I do.
  21. The cargo boat inside the red square is bringing my Lexus UX. Its approaching the docks now. One year and 2 days since my deposit. Hoping it will be on the road end of this week.
  22. Advert was on CH4 about 20.25. Saturday 2nd.
  23. New Lexus tv add starts this Saturday. Advance previews sent to people who have registered an interest in UX. Demo cars will be available in the dealers March 22nd, so hopefully mine willl be here by then as well.
  24. After my car showing March 1st into Bristol since mid November it has now back to the 3rd week in March. Bugger. I will be worth the wait, my test drive showed it is an excellent car (or small SUV). That will be 54 weeks since my deposit.
  25. After putting a deposit down on March 8th 2018 I finally got to drive one today. I was very impressed. The engine and drive chain noise was miles better than my IS. The internal layout and quality of finish was really good. I drove the 2 wheel drive as that is what I am getting. The rear boot floor lifts out and Lexus believe production cars will carpeted down into the recess. The throttle response was very good even in ECO mode. Each test drive the salesman takes his iPad which sends info on performance or any issues directly to Japan. I went up and down the M32 then 15 minutes of around the house and it was in electric mode for 53% of the drive. Very very happy and my wife was given champagne and chocolates for Valentine’s Day. My daughter recently bought a new Fiesta ST3 from Trust Ford and the handover was a shambles, about as far away from Lexus as you can get. Mine still on schedule to be in Bristol March 1st. Should be on the road by the 5th.
