    Mine is exactly the same. My previous IS 300 was the same as well. During the service on that one Lexus managed to improve it considerably so I will mention it next year on this cars first service as its not important enough to take it in now.

    I am on my second IS300h and this one is a much smoother quieter ride than my first. Since the weather has got colder I can hear the creaking type noise by my right ear which goes if you drop the window a couple of millimetres. This is the same as my first car which I improved by putting a silicone spray on the door seal and glass runners. The annoying noise in my left ear is still there. Unless I leave her home.

    Mine is the same, stays almost closed until you lift it.

    Slight digression, but anybody seen a protective strip for the underneath of the front spoiler?

    The good points are everything about the car apart from ---- 1. Rain dripping in when the front doors are opened 2. Not being able to park it straight, curviture of the bonnet or me? This is my second IS300h so it must be good.

    When it's on accessory with the door open just push the door button in and the chime stops.

    On my first IS 300h far too much tyre gloss was put on during pre delivery prep so by the time I got home it was all up the side of the car and I could not clean the black edges. Had them removed at about 1000 miles and when I sold it 2 years later with 8500 miles no marks were noticeable at all on the car. To qualify that I must say that I am retired and very rarely use motorways so town and country miles only. Had another new IS 300h last month also in white and had the films on the doors and wheel arches removed during the pre delivery so for me they are not needed.

    My service plan in 2013 was the cost less 10%.

    If you spend over £30,000 on a car good insurance is a must. I have had Lexus insurance since 2007 and when you need them they are great. Gap insurance for the first year is included, loan car, and guaranteed lexus parts and lexus people repairing your car. Lexus insurance for piece of mind. I have had Lexus service plan in the past and it's a good choice, it does save you money and obviously spreads the cost. Easy to get a refund if you sell the car. I got servicing in with the deal this time.

    You only get warning triangles on cars that are likely to breakdown. There is no spare wheel so you will not take all the skin off your knuckles changing a wheel so no need for a first aid kit. Enjoy your great car. 😂😂😜😜

    I got a BOGOF but have taken the front one out. My dear wife uses the back one for her elbow/arm. Do not like the look, was hoping they would be flush with the centre consol. I have considered cutting one up but have so far resisted messing it up. Why are the Japanese obsessed with cup holders?

    Make sure all your contacts etc are stored on your phone and not your sim. The car only transfer from your phone.

    Omg, this could be a milestone? Up to now, I think, every post on here about the new IS has been software issues, is this the first hardware/faulty part problem?

    Texts work fine on my IS using a Galaxy S mini on pay as you go. Problem is as an OAP and having no friends I do not get many texts. Lol.

    I have used Lexus Bristol since 2007 and had many new IS's and they are fantastic. Great people, great service and friendship. My daughter bought a nearly new Ford Fiesta last week and the differance between Lexus and other manufactures is massive, other dealers have a lot of catching up to do.

    If you search for Lexus IS Advance Plus the only thing that comes up is the new CT Advance Plus, with Two tone paint and a few other extras. I cannot see an IS version. Hope that calms you down a bit!!!

    Had the global entry activated today by my dealer. That's windows up or down while holding down the lock or unlock button on the key fob. It has to be requested as lexus have security concerns and maybe wet seats (with sunroof fitted) if the car is close enough to the key fob and its accidentally pressed.

    I am also not great with all the technical stuff but I can tell you that if you have 2 or more phones paired with the car it will always connect to the last assigned phone. If your wife goes out on her own the car will pick up her phone automatically as yours will be out of range but then the next time you both get in the car it will connect to hers again as the last phone assigned, bit of a pain at times. It does need a function where you can prioritise which phone is first.
