Had my 1st service yesterday and the camera did not need changing. My car arrived in Bristol about 12th October 2023 so I suspect it was built mid 2023. Also mine does not need a canbus protection plate or it’s already fitted, not sure, but I do not need a retro fit.

My son in law has a, for want of a better word, a hammock (weatherproof) on his back seat of his BMW. The hammock is secured by the seatbelts and the dog is clipped by his lead/collar to the hammock. Works for him. No other info but thought it might help.

I believe it only covers certain months/years of production when the “faulty” cameras were fitted. It’s not urgent, I believe it’s visual at first so having mine done in early November with my first service.

For every high there has to be a low. I am now on my 3rd UX and it is now 10 months old this week and I have done 2065 miles. My 2 previous UX’s had less than 5000 on the clock when sold. My mpg today for 2065 miles is 46.7. I never reset it. My car has never been on a motorway, all mileage is local. During the summer my previous UX reached 51.5 last summer but has not been great this year. I have never driven in sport mode as when I did try it I found it too fierce. The majority of my miles are in ECO mode as it’s soft for town work. A bit more context I am retired, 75 years old and never in a hurry to get anywhere.

Had a recall letter today for my late 2023 UX Takumi. Front or rear camera may have a manufacturing fault, it needs to be inspected and changed if needed.

I now know Apple Play connects via the internet and not Bluetooth. I think my problem is internet signal where I live.

I have found that although my settings are downloaded to the car from the phone it shows as not connected to Lexus on the Bluetooth on the phone. To get over this annoying little issue I have connected to the car for phone and media only which then shows connected to Lexus on my phone. As soon as I put Apple Play connect my phone drops out of connected to Lexus I am going into Lexus Bristol on Thursday for help.

I reinstalled both mine and my wife’s phones. Been checked by my dealer and the connection is correct, but occasionally I get this Term & Condition's blue screen come up (you can only tick the agree boxes when in park). It’s just annoying. Anybody else get the same.

I do not need Lexus Link + Can I delete and sign out and just go back to Bluetooth connection for our 2 phones etc. I am fed up with the terms and condition blue screen popping up occasionally. Apple play maps are pretty but I do not need that either. I want a more simple connection.

I do not watch the economy indicator but I do drive in Economy Mode as I find it smoother and more relaxing. The CVT also gives a more relaxed experience.

Do Lexus still send out Roadside Assistance membership cards after you have purchased a new car? Had mine 2 months now and nothing?

Thanks Don. Was beginning to think that. At least it’s not a fault. I use the wire to charge also, do not like how hot the phone gets when it’s on the pad. I have tried taken it out of the clear cover but it still get hot.

I have been using the Apple Play map as it’s nicer to look at than the Lexus map. It used to go to the Apple play map after recognising my phone on start up but the last few days it stays on the Lexus map unless I select Apple Play map. Anybody else had this, I have checked my phone and it is connected to Apple Play via My Lexus.

Anybody bought a Barbour wax jacket and had any issues with the Lexus leather seats? Do not want to spend a lot of money on a winter coat only to find it ruins my light cream leather. Thanks all.

I would prefer to delete Lexus Link and make it more simple. Unlike most of the population if I go out with my phone so what, but now it seems you have to have it with you. 2 days into ownership the tech guys at the dealer did some some things so when I started the car the dreaded terms and conditions did not keep appearing. all good since but to get ready for my wife to disappear in the car I turned off my phone and let the car connect to hers but terms and conditions are back. Signed into the car with the Lexus link a/c being helped over the phone by my dealer but it still comes up. Email gone off to Lexus from the dealer as there has been issues over the last few days??? I just want a car the both of us or either can get connected and it go to the map. i have the Lexus + app.

Still not done many miles so early days but went out today and did about 20 miles on mostly town with a few county roads. I have changed the warning to bleep bleep which is similar to a speed camera warning and did not find it too bad at all. If I was going out on a longer journey on dual carriageway or motorway then yes I will turn it off. Not as concerned about it now given how we use the car.

I masted the knack on my 2019 UX, was told it was not fitted on my 2021 Takumi UX so never tried it but cannot get a bleeping thing on this one.

The manual says (if equipped)?

Even my dealer unsure, should my 2023 UX Takumi have a kick censor to open the boot?

I have changed the alert from steering wheel vibrate to the sound? alert, have not been out and tried it yet but will just get into the habit of turning it off on the steering wheel while I am starting off. My daughter came down earlier and I said to her about it and she said “oh that’s really annoying on my BMW” so I am not alone 😂

On my 2021 UX when new I found the lane centering was on and it vibrated the steering wheel and pulled on the steering slightly. I turned it off and all was good. Now on my 2023 model although it says lane centering in the menu to the left of the speedo I still have a symbol just above the mileage which I can cancel using the steering wheel button. But the next time I turn on the car the symbol is back, still show LTA off on the menu but I am getting an alert through the steering wheel. Any ideas as I would like to solve it myself as it’s probably something simple. thanks
