I was under the impression it did that to let you know that the alarm had been triggered prior to you starting that journey.
It happened when I deliberatley triggered the alarm. Just putting 2 and 2 together. I could be wrong!

Unless the fourth tyre is looking as good as new it's not worth changing three! Do the lot!

Bump!
I have now spoken to Lex GB and they are gonna chase Oxford to find the receipt.
Still interested in anyone else's experience though!

Happy August 1st to you all! :D

Anyone else use the genuine Lexus roofbars on their IS?
I had them delivered shortly after picking up the car and paid over the phone. I don't believe I was sent a receipt.
Last weekend I tried to fit them and the attachment Allen bolt had seized in the captive nut. It didn't seize instantly, it was over the short time it takes to screw them up. I couldn't tighten the front bar enough and then couldn't undo it again! :o
I tried dismantling the foot assembly, but the captive nut is enclosed in a metal case. I called Lexus Hatfield, to see if they'd replace them under warranty, they said yes, if you have the receipt! I looked for it and couldn't find it!
I called Lexus Oxford, who I bought them off and asked if they keep receipts. They said, 'our system's were all changed last October. All paperwork before that has been archived.'
I'm gonna try getting a goodwill payment from Oxford and/or Lexus GB, but has anyone else experienced this? Apparently the design has now changed and you don't need to screw the bars on, you just flip a clip! Maybe Lexus knew there was a problem?
Any help is appreciated, as always! :winky:

Hi all! I'm doing ok, getting ready for a long weekend working at home!
Changing my brake pads all round today for Mintex and gonna paint calipers black with chrome stickers too!
Then I have a garage to clear out ready for new kitchen being delivered soon-ish! Oh what fun!
Everyone else still ok?

I'd say it was a classy little mod, but cannot comment on it's effectiveness on motorways yet!
Get 'em fitted Aido!

The ones that are on the latest models...?!
They produce a 'fan' style spray instead of two/three squirts!
-
All sorted!
Has anyone else changed from the triple jets to the fan jets? They seem to be directed to the bottom of the screen, do you have any problems at higher speeds? Are they adjustable at all?
-
Cheers Steve!
Will go and try it now!

OK, guys,
Hopefully this will be a quickie!
I've got my new washer jets and want to change them without damaging the old ones while removing them. Whats the best way to go about it?
It's a very small hole to get into and I can't seem to release the claws very easily!
Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks

Did you get any joy from Burgoynes?
About proving the bolts were dodgy?

Chris,
I dunno how much it'll cost but we have a company we use called Burgoynes. Look at www.burgoynes.com for more info. They have an office in Ilkley that deal with material failures, theyshould be able to help.

Hi all,
A friend recently posted this and received only one reply.
I just thought I'd try and help him get a few more answers by posting it in the General Forum.
Can anyone else add to Sabastian's reply?
Any help is appreciated.

Does the shorter aerial affect radio reception at all? Logic would say it would be worse with the shorter one?

I didn't see the programme, but heard about it this morning.
This would have been known about before the aircraft landed by the airline (air Transat) and probably Airbus and the Canadian authority.
All three will have immediately taken steps to ensure that this cannot happen again. Especially if it was the second Canadian airline with this fault.
I work in Technical Support for 'Britain's Best Holiday Airline' and if it had happened to us, the $hit would have hit the fan and we would have put so many procedures into place you wouldn't believe it!
It can happen, but as soon as it does something will be done about it to stop it happening again!
Enjoy your flight Dave! :winky:

You're doing a top job Paul, but unfortunately can't make the 14th. Real bummer!
You can take me out the reserve list, thanks anyway.
