  2. lots of confusion ,to much cider over the weekend ,but thanks all for the replies, .
  3. thanks Linas P, Thats all the info i need. Not sure where you are coming from Verbout ,i said it was wheel rims i was after ,then agreed with Verbout that blackcircles was a good place to source tyres !!!
  4. sorry for confusion Linas.P ,i meant wheel rims , i am on R17 , i also use blackcircles for the last couple of years and find them excellent , i have a pair of Yoko bluearth's on the rears and goodyear F1 eagles on the front.
  5. hi all ,my rear two wheels are completely shot, just wondering what size they are and hopefully does anyone know of a reasonably priced source for them , thanks in anticipation of any replies :)
  6. nice review, possibly my next motor :)
  7. thanks for quick reply Normski ,haven't used lexus main dealership since the last recall when they tried to con me out of £550 ,so will look at other ways of dealing with the problem :)
  8. just noticed , as the dark mornings are upon us, that if i forget to turn my lights off i don't get a warning as i get out of the car, is there a setting that i am missing, most of my previous cars have given a warning !!!!
  9. had a vehicle safety report carried out on my lexus while i had a recent recall done , they called me and said i had a leaking rear shock and both my rear callipers were seized and the pads were low, total bill £643.88 , i said i would think about it !!!!. near by to me is a speacialist garage which mainly deals with high end cars and i had a service and mot last year and they seemed really good , so i took the car in today for them to have a look, in there opinion there was no problem with the rear shock and they replaced the rear brake pads and in addition they needed a pin and spring fitting kit , total bill £172.21, bit of a difference !!!!
  10. must admit my commute is very sedate at 6.30 in the morning, certainly no rush to get to work :)
  11. yep i usually get 40-42 mpg on long journeys and my commute ,which is 7 miles each way, returns about 28-30, not bad at all :)
  12. hi, am having some work done on my car next week and would like to dis-arm the alarm, I have noticed sometimes my alarm seems to activate its self when I have opened the doors and then walked away and I have come back to the car and opened the door and set the alarm off !!!.as it's a mobile mechanic doing the work on the car and I will be leaving to work while I'm away from the car I would like to make sure the alarm doesn't go off .
  13. had my recall done today at Poole Lexus, and as normski2 said, £25 of petrol, very good quality car wash and internal hoover and a is300h loan car, as i was only going to the gym and then home i can't really write as much as normski2, however it seemed a nice car, but to be quite honest i prefered mine and was glad to get back in it, however this could probably be put down to famillurarity. Must say the whole experience was good from the garage. But , on the downside, my rear calipers are seized and i was quoted £405 to have them replaced , i declined as i will do the job myself, but was a bit disappointed that they were seized as i bought the car with 32,000 miles on the clock with a full lexus service history ,including the 60,000 big service and i am only on 39,000 now, the garage sent me a video of the calipers and it does'nt look like they have ever been looked at, bit annoyed really , but will have to bite the bullet and replace them .
  14. thanks for the info normski2, will make sure i don't fill up next week :)
  15. welcome mate :)
  16. 18 months and hopefully many more months to come as i have eventually found my ideal motor :)
  17. don't want to be negative but why would they put it up for sale with a defect, would have made sense to fix first !!!!
  18. welcome,nice motor :)
  19. agree with normski12, those figures are are almost exactly the same as mine, even had 42 on a cruise down to sidmouth last year :)
