  1. Thank you kind sir. I would never have landed on the one!
  2. YMMV an acronym to be explained please anyone ?
  3. It was Len and thanks you. Acronyms are useful only to those that know what they mean. Everyone has heard of N.A.S.A but few know what it stands for. The convention as I understand it is for the acronym to be inserted in Capitals within parenthesis (brackets for you and me old pal) immediately following first use of the full phrase. ........Central Office of Information (CIO).........The acronym is used thereafter.. I too spent some time dealing with Officialdom and can recognise what you have described. If only Ministers in charge of their Departments were made to stay put in order to fulfill their responsibilities, Civil Servants could be made more accountable ??
  4. "An Extended Warranty can also be purchased from Lexus (approx £450 per annum) for when the car is between 10 and 15 years old (up to 150k miles) though the car has to continue to be serviced at Lexus franchised dealer for that to be valid. The upshot is that if you maintain the car at a Lexus franchised dealer you can pretty much keep the car under an Extended Warranty (free initially and later paid for including battery and hybrid components) until the car is 15 years old (or reaches 150k miles)." Phil, you have mentioned the new Extended Warranty for cars 10-15 years old , previously and you and I have had some brief exchanges about it.Very amicable exchanges I should add. I have approached Lexus Chester a couple of times and have yet to receive a definitive response from them. I have let it pass as I am still on the Lexus Extended Warranty which has recently been withdrawn from Sale, but can you explain what you know definitively, a little further, please? In particular, I ; am not certain that is available from ALL LEXUS DEALERS, Don`t know who are the Administrators (TGW?) of the Scheme, have not seen the Terms and Conditions of the Scheme. cannot recall of any Member reporting that they have it. am not aware of a schedule of charges for particular models. Many thanks Phil.
  5. COI Len ? If the Law requires us to defer to Cyclists, Pedestrians etc, that is what we have to try to do. It is however a recipe for potential problems as we and our respective Insurers, will all find out. What about the poor horse who will now be informed by its Rider that it will have to defer to a Pedestrian who is not even in the act of crossing the road?
  6. If you are buying from a Motor Dealer then it is his responsibility for dealing with any significant problems (inc Battery)which arise within 6 months of your purchase. If you buy then take it to your local Lexus Dealer and ask him to check it over for you. You can then approach the Motor Trader with the results if necessary. Good luck.
  7. Sahara & Patagonia Autos, maybe Peter ?👍👍

  11. Nothing wrong with that old chum.👍👍
  12. Good afternoon my friend. You quote me on what I said one year ago relating to your specific point re "many cars have many different ways" I am unable to understand why you choose to post it and comment as you did. I must now go back to my slumber.😉
