  1. I would not be surprised Len. No doubt that a Dashcam is necessary, notwithstanding the fact that it reveals one`s own errors. Acceptance of one`s errors is called "taking ownership" and too few people subscribe to that. A hierarchy based upon vulnerability is lunacy. The current Highway Code says all that needs to be said apart from reminding drivers of their responsibilities to ALL road users.
  2. Been excellent on my E Class Estate. I`m sure you will be content.
  3. It is/was mentioned by implication when I read it Maurice. 15 years @10,000 miles = a total warranty cover of 150,000 miles as you rightly say. It is an annual cover of 10,000 from each service for 15 years. It is not an accumulated figure.
  4. Just seen the video and Mincey`s famous last words sprang to mind !😊
  5. Even Pedestrians must exercise due care and attention. A pedestrian waiting at a designated crossing is. A Pedestrian waiting at a busy point in the road within sight of a recognised crossing is not. Let`s organise an Official Petition to sack the person(s) who advocated the introduction of a vulnerability hierarchy of road users?
  6. You are quite right Linas, old pal. It is not a good thing to abdicate personal responsibility, but cultures are different. Countries are different and will remain so,(hopefully). What seems to work for the Spanish Pedestrian goes against everything that is ingrained within a UK road user .
  7. In Spain Bill, Pedestrians step into the road ALWAYS without looking AND NEVER ACKNOWLEDGE traffic which sometimes perform miracles to avoid hitting them. As a visitor one has to live with it.
  8. ok steve, it sounds that you know what you are doing. I was merely offering advice. I hope that you were not charged for the warranty. Good luck and I`ll lookout for the pics.
  9. Thanks Stephen. Given that you bought from a Dealer, please remember that he is bound by English Law to correct, at his cost, anything significant, that goes wrong within 6 months of purchase.Do NOT take any problems elsewhere to fix. Did he offer you any kind of warranty by the way ?
  10. I remember it distinctly. I was 9 going on 10 and Dad called it a Bl**dy Camel as it fell at the first fence at Aintree in the `56 National.😉
  11. Welcome Donk. I endorse the comments made by Vlad and Herbs above.
  12. Took the words from my keyboard Doog. We concentrate too much on the word cyclist, when we mean "any 3rd Party." I`m reading the new text now and it seems eminently sensible to me, although I and many others will need to adjust our rusty skill-sets pretty smartish and seek out our old file marked common sense !😊😊
  13. Hello Stephen and welcome. Nice car you have. It is a real Wolf in Sheep`s clothing.. Be very careful. Looking forward to the piccies when available. Did you buy Privately or from a Dealer ? My car is serviced by the Dealer, so I guess he uses what is stated in the Handbook. What have you been driving recently ?
