  3. Many thanks Robert for the information. It would seem that the vehicle has been warranted by Lexus for 12 months which is their usual Policy. This is considerably more than required by their obligations under Consumer Protection Legislation. The second line of your first Posting refers to the Lexus Relax Warranty which I believe will only come into play upon the vehicle being serviced in accordance with the Manufacturer`s Policy. It is good that you have copious notes etc, regarding exchanges with Lexus Gatwick and Lexus U.K. and these should be maintained on an ongoing basis. The fact that you do not have some exchanges in writing does not of itself mean that you cannot rely upon them as the balance of probability will tend to support what you say was said and you should maintain your own notes of them in the absence of formalised documentation. Good luck in what is a difficult situation and I will try to maintain a watching eye on this matter.

  9. Phil`s advice is sound as it can add further weight to your complaint. The fact that it is not a new car is irrelevant. Don`t dilly dally however push the Lexus Dealer hard and keep a written record of what you say and importantly what HE says to you Jim. Keep us all posted.
  10. Hello Jim and welcome to the L.O.C. If you bought from a non Lexus Dealership, then the Salesman does not know what he is talking about. If you bought from a Lexus Dealership, then he should know better. Either way, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires the Dealer to correct and pay for, any significant problem which occurs within 6 months of purchase. Remind the Dealer of his obligations to you and let us all know how you get on. If you bought from a Lexus Dealer then please tell us its name.

  13. Morning Phil, I am in my Andalusian mood of wishing well to all ardent readers of Handbooks and reinforcing the need for good communication amongst like minded Members. Detention is an aspect of my Psyche which I left behind when I was promoted to the rewarding task of Head Milk Monitor. I discovered that there were designed avenues to success in life in the Western World and...............I`ve completely forgotten where I was going with this Phil🤣. Devo is a welcome new recruit and I`m sure he will have received my interference in the spirit in which it wos sent !👍👍
