  1. Nice try Paul. It`s all about camera and memory perspective I suppose. My old Audi 100 5 cylinder turbo diesel was as long as a football pitch and as wide as a Battleship and I could park it in a space half a big as the one that was too small for you on that occasion !! Still being the "Local Mayor" will permit you a certain amount of licence mi amigo! Regards John :) :)
  2. Slapton sands!! Lovely part of the world. Get down there about 4 times a year. Typical Audi parking manners? Regards John
  3. Just wondering Graham, did you/do you, leave the Lexus in P with or without the foot operated brake being applied? I always just leave it in P, rightly or wrongly, for fear of brakes not freeing. I`m sorry to learn of your situation, but hope that all is soon back to normal. My wife and I are holidaying up near to you (Cromarty) in July and I do not wish to see a Black Shogun in my rear view mirror! Regards John
  4. Pleased that you are pleased with the new LEXUS,but the GB plate on the BM is on the wrong side of the rear!! Regards John
  5. Welcome Michael.Lovely car. Can`t say whether or not I`ve noticed if items are greyed out or not! I never let the fuel go below one quarter of the tank, so would not need to trust the amount of fuel remaining. The warranty you have been given is irrelevant as you receive a 6 month statutory warranty via the Sale of Goods Act. Google it and find out the details. Regards John
  6. See post 2 :) Sorry, I must have been asleep !!!! Regards John
  7. Jon, You can insure the vehicle using its VIN number !! Regards John
  8. Correct as Taiwan is certainly not China !! Regards John
  9. Ask/email Honestjohn.co.uk as he knows EVERYTHING ! Good luck Regards John
  10. Welcome back Jock and many grateful thanks for all of your services whilst abroad. We owe you and your colleagues a great deal. You will enjoy the auto. Regards John
  11. Les, Do a search on the GS Forum and all will be revealed ! Regards John
  12. If you are happy to pay that price, then the price is just right. Enjoy the car, which looks superb and drive it home carefully and easily. Good luck. Regards John
  13. Can you not ask the people you went out to visit to send you some Declan? Regards John
  14. You just know it make sense Chris. Life is not a return ticket journey. Regards John
  15. MN, I too use Lexus Chester and have found them to be fine. I do not think that their loan car policy is unusual. You have not said whether your own insurance covered you and I would have thought that most, if not all, comprehensive policies provide cover for a vehicle owned by, loaned to or hired by the policy holder. Regards John
  16. Jon, In my experience a sunroof will; *lower the amount of internal headroon, and *go wrong. Air conditioning is superior and does not allow your head or skin to be burnt. As for not wanting to travel a distance to view the car you might want...........................................................................................you should be prepared to go to the ends of the earth !! Regards John
  17. Just cannot help thinking that this is not a private sale, although it might appear to be !! A private sale will be without warranties/ guarantees, notwithstanding the high price. Regards John
  18. Have you enquired of some of these garages near to you Colin? Arnold Clark`s reputation is so bad that other Lexus/Toyota owners must have moved to Independant garages. https://www.whocanfixmycar.com/service/colins-mot-[and]-service-centre Where do you drive to in Spain as I drive to Andalucia twice yearly! Regards John
  19. Colin, It mat be helpful to you (and cheaper) to contact your local Toyota Dealership (assuming it`s not Arnold Clark !) or your local Toyota Indie for another diagnosis. Regards John
  20. Sorry to learn of your news; Please let us all know how you get on Colin. 1. Yes it is a known problem. 2. Be polite and courteous when dealing with Lexus. Stress in writing your previous Lexus ownership and Service Records and ask for a Goodwill Contribution at least. 3. I`ve not read or heard one good report about Arnold Clark dealerships. Good luck. Regards John
  21. Robert, can you post a link to the photos please? Mine (10 plate) has neither. Regards John
  22. Posted 04 March 2014 - 03:49 PM i posted this in March last year.Hope it helps......I returned to my GS450h THIS AFTERNOON following six weeks away in Spain. I had left it with a 12 volt, 2.4 watt Solar Powered Trickle Charger (purchased from the AA) connected to the OBD Port beneath the Steering Wheel and lo and behold it fired up instantly. I hope that this information is of some use/ comfort to fellow 450H owners particularly as I understand that the UK has not had much sunshine whilst I have been away.! Regards John
  23. Outstandingly good. Whose that with Steve? Regards John
  24. GS 450H FOR £192 WITH LV ! FULL NO CLAIMS BONUS WITH PROTECTION. ONE OTHER NAMED DRIVER AND FULL EUROPEAN COVER. There may be lower premiums out there, but I am content. Regards John
  25. How strange that you should say that! I have two quotes on my desk at the moment, one from Adrian Flux and the other...............wait for it...LV. there is about 30p difference in the figures! I was psychic Geoff, but only in a previous life !! I can only speak from experience having been with LV for 10 years plus. 50 years ago I`d have been looking to save the 6 bob !! Regards John
