  1. And with a named driver added (say, wife?) it would probably be less. Regards John
  2. Sounds like another low volume Jaguar seller then? My pal has just bought a BMW Series 3 GT which has as much legroom inside as my E Class! Regards John
  3. Philip, We each have responsibilities and we must discharge them sensibly and responsibly. Watch the video if you can. 1984 did not happen as predicted by G.O. and neither will 2025 as sang by Z and E! Regards John
  4. Sorry to hear that Mazi. You can so a search in the GS Forum to find quite a few possible members who may be able to help you. Regards John
  5. Robert, I have a 10 GS 450h and it is better than good. It is outstandingly smooth, quiet and very fast. Expect 35mpg overall and do ensure that you check for a FULL LEXUS SERVICE HISTORY and try to obtain a 2 year Lexus Warranty. Good luck. Regards John
  6. If you really want to make a point Geoff, then write to the Chief Constable with a copy to your M.P. expressing your views and if you do not receive what you consider to be an appropriate response, then write to the Editor of your local paper enclosing copies of all correspondence to date. The pigeons will be very upset by your cat! We are all being reminded that as citizens we need to take responsibility. "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing" Dashcams provide us all with the opportunity to take responsibility seriously and demand that those we elect do the same. Regards John
  7. Indeed. Just installed a draft excluder to my garage to minimise crud getting in under the door. It was 850 for paint correction detail, interior clean and engine bay clean. Stu A superb job indeed. Did you mean 850 pounds or 85 pounds or what? Incidentally M.....in one section I could have sworn that your zip fly was undone !! Regards John
  8. I use it a lot to slow the car down without having to use the brakes (when and where conditions allow) Regards John
  9. I drive to and from Spain twice each year and have not had any problems in my E Class Estate.....you can even hold the tag in your hand and point it at the sensor ! Enjoy continental motoring...it`s like our Sunday morning`s used to be once you are out of the cities. Regards John
  10. I would advise strongly against such a move. Try downsizing to a CT 200h. Regards John
  11. Not my experience Keith, but one must speak as one finds. Regards John
  12. But Bob has not lost a safe Jon! Regards John
  13. Hi Simon, I have a 10 Reg, GS450h with 31,000 on the clock. I normally get 28/29 mpg when driving locally. I recently filled up with Super Unleaded however, and got 35mpg when driving locally. This was a Brim to Brim (not OBC) measurement. I have just returned from a trip to Edinburgh having filled up with ordinary unleaded and got 33mpg, with the return trip giving 34mpg. These again were real (Brim to Brim) measurements and speed was typical motorway speeds WITH NOT MUCH PASSING ME! I expect to get between 400 and 480 miles from a full tank of fuel and I endorse all that Carl has said about power and performance. The drive is majestreal. Enjoy whatever you decide to buy. Regards John
  14. My Dealer fitted ones operate off the Gear Lever for reversing and there is an installed switch low down on the right hand side of the Steering Wheel between it and the drivers door for the front ones. Have fun and continue to enjoy the SC. Regards John
  15. I find that the 450h is so sublime that it is a mixture of (in my imagination), piloting Concorde or Comanding the USS Enterprise !! It`s acceleration is effortless and linear smooth. Regards John
  16. Keith, if it was not your fault then; 1. The other Insurance Company cannot write your car off. 2. It is the responsibility of the other driver or his Insurance Company to put your car back into the state it was in prior to the incident regardless of cost. Seek legal advice if necessary. Good luck. Regards John
  17. Has Willydoit seen the SC at Lexus Hedge End near Southampton ? Regards John
  18. Well said James, I endorse all of that. Regards John
  19. Gang, your GB plate needs to be sited on the near-side rear (not off-side) as they drive on the other side of the road on the Continent !! Apart from that the Jag seems almost ok. Regards John
  20. My experience exactly. My two trips from Wirral to Fallingbostal both gave 35 mpg overall and quite honestly whilst it was not possible to amble along at only 70 mph, I felt uncomfortable at travelling along at 90 mph as vehicles were approaching from behind at speeds close to that of Jumbo Jet at take off. There are plenty of unrestricted and many restricted sections on the Autobahns. Enjoy your trip. Regards JOHN
  21. My experience tells me to expect 35mpg overall. I take it that the 90 refers to the Autobahn? Regards John
