  1. And after 3 years ownership, I agree with Carl and John ! Regards John
  2. Hello Aaron, The way you are dealing with your problems is impressive and I wish you continued success. I have an E Class W210 Auto Estate with 210,000 miles and which has been largely trouble free and I would certainly recommend that you look for one. It must however be rust free and have a full service history preferably with a good Merc Indie. The 220 cdi is cheaper to run (than the 320 cdi ) and maintain and is largely bullet proof apart from occasional electrics.. Some other ideas re a reliable, quality run around (non Fiesta) are Honda Jazz and Toyota Corolla. There are some excellent lease/hire deals at the moment with Lingcars.com and you might look at these. Good luck. Regards John
  3. My view is that these figures are seriously optimistic.. Are they brim to brim or On Board Computer figures? My 450h does not give 500 to the tank, even on long runs! Anyway, onwards and upwards! Regards John
  4. I leave mine for 6 weeks at a time twice each year with a Solar Charger attached to the OBD Port and have no problems. Regards John
  5. Justin, If you bought it from a Motor Trader, then tell him to fix it at his cost. Regards John
  6. We might be able to offer more help if you can tell us if you bought it from a dealer or was it a private sale and when was it bought by you? Regards John
  7. Wonderful.Welcome to heaven on earth ! Regards John
  8. The second and 4th posts contain the answer. The fault is with the glass screen and so is covered by the Lexus Warranty. Regards John
  9. Remind them that the fault is the rear screen not performing to specification. Regards John
  10. Steve, whether it was working or not is also irrelevant as the Law assumes that a fault occuring within 6 months of purchase was there at the time.Citizens Advice Bureau is free. Phone the Nottingham CAB and discuss matters with them. You should not pay for anything and you must not have anyone attempt to repair matters as the Dealer will then claim that what you have done has caused the problem. Good Luck and keep us all aware of how you get on. Regards John
  11. The Warranty is irrelevant. The Law provides via the Sale of Goods Act and the www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/ . Take a look and insist that the Dealer repirs/replaces at his cost. Seek advice from Citizens Advice Bureau or a Solicitor if he wont play ball.. Regards John
  12. Did you buy privately or from a dealer? If a dealer then it is his responsibility to repair/replace at his own cost. Regards John
  13. Aaaron, Would it not be possible to save spending money by simply not replacing it/them and checking the tyre pressures weekly like we all used to do ? Regards John
  14. Phil, Try Toyota....Camry, Carina, Avensis etc. Good luck. Regards John
  15. I can just fit two full sized golf bags with clubs and shoes Aaron. The size is restricted by positioning of the Hybrid Battery. Do let us all know how you get on. Regards John
  16. Good luck Aaron. Check the DVLA MOT website for its MOT history and ask the local Lexus Dealer if they can tell you of its Service history from their computerised records. And speak soonest with the previous owner. Regards Johni
  17. Can I request that the Mods or whoever give thought to the sequential, individual numbering of responses to each topic ? The first post would be 1 and the second post 2, the twentieth post 20 and so on . We used to have this within the former Forum and I found it useful to enable me to locate specific previous posts to which I wished to refer. I accept that we currently are informed of the total number of all responses at the beginning of each topic. Regards John
  18. This seems to me to be a refreshing, honest and thought provoking story. Many thanks. Regards John
  19. If you did not buy the car privately then it is the Traders responsibility to fix these items at his cost. Regards John
  20. Very interesting. It makes one wonder how much "real world "testing is carried out by manufacturers. Regards John
  21. Better the Angel you know ! Regards John
