  1. So, would you buy a used car from this man ? I would not.. Regards John
  2. Why don`t you try to phone a Lexus or Toyota Independent Garage anywhere in the UK and ask their advice? Lexus cars are essentially Toyota cars, but under a different Badge to give more status and Gravitas. Good luck in your search James Regards John jOHN.
  3. Think Toyota too James (Carina, Camry, Avensis ?) as you may be more successful. Regards John
  4. Well expressed Linas. Regards John
  5. I do wonder whether people realise that any audio system is only as good as one`s physical ability to pick up the frequencies that are within recordings and the acoustic conditions which prevail in the environment in which one is listening. What is deemed to be perfect by one is often not perceived a such by others. Perfect music reproduction lies within the hearing abilities of the recipient., I feel.
  6. my private messages

  7. I CAN FIT 2 full sized golf bags plus shoes easily into the boot Mr 123 and if we had met on the first tee you would have told me you name.It is etiquette ;) Regards John
  8. And its classed as a private sale which is not consistent with the accompanying text which reeks of the Salesman. Regards John
  9. consider using the Appeals/Complaints procedure contained within the document SAUL AND FEEL FREE TO USE SUCH of my wording as you feel is appropriate. Submit whatever documentation/ receipts you still have available and request that they submit to you their reasoning for defining how the failure of a rarely used (if ever?) part can be classed as wear and tear or a consumable. If you are not successful consider writing to Honestjohn and informing him of the poor customer relations service offered by Lexus. They will not like the publicity. Best of luck.
  10. Headlight adjusters almost by definition are not used frequently, so cannot possibly be classified as wear and tear. The failure of the adjuster is either mechanical or electrical and so does fall within the requirement to be dealt with under the Warranty, in my view SAUL. Regards John
  11. If you`r ever short of a bob or two Ian, you could consider selling it, say ,to the British Rail Pension Fund as it could do with an appreciating asset ! ;) My W210 (NO SIGN OF RUST) has now covered 212,000 miles in its short 13 year history. Regards John
  12. H, My wife has just taken me for a drive. Hooton, MORETON, MEOLS, WEST KIRBY, HESWALL and back to Hooton. When she started the car after 3 months of standing, it fired up instantly and showed one Bar on the display. When we arrived home it was showing four Bars. She switched off and I backed it into the driveway on electric power only. Hope this information is of use. Regards John
  13. Thanks H.I will look out for you when I get back to driving. Mine is Palladium Silver, and yours ? Regards John
  14. Saul....I was using your phrase. I have looked through the Full Terms and Conditions Document and the phrase does not occur. What does appear is "Excluded Parts and Operations", and your Headlamp Aduster matter is not a defined exclusion included in Sections 4.1 or 4.2 or 4.3. I can send you the link if you do not have the Full Document. Regards John
  15. Thanks Harry. I do not think I have ever seen my Battery in such a high state of charge. I`ve done 23,000 in last 3 years and have not used it in last 3 moths due to illness. My wife might take me out in it later today.....I hope it starts !! Regards John
  16. It has been normal for me Harry. I move off for short distances only after a longish drive. When we brake or decelerate we are putting charge in to the Hybrid Battery. Change your view to see the effect on the screen. I find it compelling viewing. I have never heard nor read of, any Gen3 driver seeing the Hybrid Battery showing full charge! Enjoy the Rocket Ship and (try) to observe the speed limits!!!!!! Regards John
  17. Very pleased for you James. Your next car will also be a Lexus. Regards John
  18. Mine is the same as yours Harry. The engine will always fire up when the Computer determines that the Hybrid Battery is not sufficiently charged to drive the car .Best brim to brim mpg I have had is 38mpg on a busy and high speed run to Hannover. Regards John
  19. Absolute nonsense Saul. Look at Wear and Tear examples in the Warrranty Document and I expect it nor anything like it , to be included within any examples shown. Headlamps are adjusted rarely, so cannot be a wear and tear item. Regards John
  20. Sorry to hear that Aaron..Keep searching and using that reliable brainbox, you will find what you are looking for.. Regards John
  21. Seems a sensible decision to me James. Have you seen this http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/lexus/gs300-1998/?section=good Good luck and let us all know how you get on . Regards John
