  1. A GOOD JOB YOU DO NOT LIVE WITHIN THE ARCTIC CIRCLE THEN, JOHN. (Sorry, I did not mean to shout! ) Regards John
  2. Thanks for the opportunity to view James. They are not for me (in fact they remind me of Batman and Gotham City), but if you feel that they are cool in a funky kind of way, then they must be exactly that. Enjoy them. and your GS. Regards John
  3. I agree with you Shahpor, inconsistency of interpretation and application of defined practices within a National Framework of Lexus Daealers will only lead to unsatisfied and disgruntled owners. Ask OLD TROUT who I feel has been let down badly. Can I suggest that you GOOGLE "A HIDING TO NOTHING?" Regards John
  4. £1095 is what I have paid Jamie. I think that you should be looking to build and develop a lasting and worthwhile relationship with your chosen Lexus Dealer rather than trying to save a few pennies. Regards John
  5. I have now raised the question 3 times Lee in threads.I do not know how to raise it with the Administrators directly. I have asked Bluesman (Mike) and he has not as yet responded. If I was a new memeber ,he would be onto me like a shot !! Regards John
  6. Shahpor, You are on hiding to nothing here. The only people who must provide an owner with the definitive information he is looking for are the Lexus Dealerships he wishes to use. Comments/ suggestions/ advice/guidance, provided whilst given in good faith on this Forum, count for nothing against what he is told by a responsible official who will in due course carry out the work for him. Oh I do wish each contribution was numbered!! Regards John Regards John
  7. Whichever is likely to reveal the most faults and get you entry into the Extended Warranty Scheme, my friend ! Regards John
  8. Sorry for the delay Jamie....I have been out to lunch with two old friends of the past 50 years.Even full time Retirees need to relax occasionally !! What I meant was; 1. Ask Lexus to identify and put into writing any matters which would prevent them from providing you with an Extended Warranty. 2. Take these matters to the Dealer who sold you the car and ask him to repair/replace at his own cost.He may even ask Lexus to effect some of the matters, if you are fortunate. 3. When all matters fixed then return to Lexus and ask for the Extended Warranty. Hope all goes well. Good luck. Regards John
  9. Read this in its entirity Norman. http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/lexus/ls430-2001/ Regards John
  10. TV said "Mazda lamps stay brighter longer, always ask for Mazda", just before the advert for Murraymints !! Regards John
  11. Jamie, The 450h is not a fun car! The Autobahn`s are only derestricted for certain lengths, 150 mph is the speed at which a civilian aircraft takes off, the German Police approach at speeds it is difficult to comprehend and you will need European Insurance cover . Do take great care and return safely to let us all know of your experiences! Oh, and the toilets are not free !! Regards John
  12. The Dodo DID NOT WEAR SEAT BELTS...... and look what happened to him ! Regards John
  13. Thanks Mark. Mx 5 a great car, everything that the MGB should have been. Area Co-ordinator.....an extremely significant cog that turned all of the area`s wheels. Still it could have been worse, you could have been the Area Treasurer !! Regards John
  14. You make some good points Colin and I agree with you. Incidentally, in the "Great Scheme of Things", 950% of peanuts is still peanuts ! :):):) Regards John
  15. Will the people responsible for this/these/all threads, please give thoughtful consideration to showing a sequential number at say, the top right of each thread entry,so that easy reference can be made should a later/subsequent thread entrant can quote it if appropriate.e.g first entry is 1, second is 2, fifty-fifth is 55 etc. Not all entries currently quote the earlier thread to which they are referring and the introduction of a sequential numbering system might help. Such practices occur on other sites and prove very useful. Many thanks. Regards John
