I`ve been to Fallingbostal in Northern Germany from the Wirral a few times in the GS 450h and watched excitedly as the miles covered since the last refill plus the miles left in the tank approached 500.Twice it has reached 499 but no further. Then I calaculated that 500 miles per tank only gives 35 mpg, then I thought that 35mpg from a V6 capable of 0-60 in less than 6 seconds and a top speed limited to 155mph, covering the ground in almost total silence......and aren`t I a very lucky boy !! Mr Keats said that beauty lies in the eye of the beholder and we who drive GS or LS have sometihng very wonderful to behold. Regards John Seems more like Bayern to me Chris. Regards John

Sequential numbering of entries within each thread
royoftherovers posted a topic in Add a suggestion
Will the people responsible for this/these/all threads, please give thoughtful consideration to showing a sequential number at say, the top right of each thread entry,so that easy reference can be made should a later/subsequent thread entrant can quote it if appropriate.e.g first entry is 1, second is 2, fifty-fifth is 55 etc. Not all entries currently quote the earlier thread to which they are referring and the introduction of a sequential numbering system might help. Such practices occur on other sites and prove very useful. Many thanks. Regards John -

Sorry Peter, the ball is in my court. I need to email the owner of the Forum with a request that he considers my suggestion. I had hoped that he might have caught wind by now and adopted the suggestion, but seems that he is not currently aware. I will deal with it tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder. Regards John

E class 220 cdi Auto Estate Elegance Jan 2003 215,000 miles 50mpg on any journey over 50 miles. The best and most financially economical car I have owned, although the GS450 h is catching it up fast. !! Comparisons are worthless however as it is chalk and cheese. Both cars are oustandingly good at what they are good at. Regards John

Welcome John. That is a beautiful colour and reminds me of an outstanding bottle of red wine I enjoyed recently. I hope that you have many years of enjoyable and trouble free motoring. Regards John
