  10. I`ve been to Fallingbostal in Northern Germany from the Wirral a few times in the GS 450h and watched excitedly as the miles covered since the last refill plus the miles left in the tank approached 500.Twice it has reached 499 but no further. Then I calaculated that 500 miles per tank only gives 35 mpg, then I thought that 35mpg from a V6 capable of 0-60 in less than 6 seconds and a top speed limited to 155mph, covering the ground in almost total silence......and aren`t I a very lucky boy !! Mr Keats said that beauty lies in the eye of the beholder and we who drive GS or LS have sometihng very wonderful to behold. Regards John Seems more like Bayern to me Chris. Regards John

  18. Will the people responsible for this/these/all threads, please give thoughtful consideration to showing a sequential number at say, the top right of each thread entry,so that easy reference can be made should a later/subsequent thread entrant can quote it if appropriate.e.g first entry is 1, second is 2, fifty-fifth is 55 etc. Not all entries currently quote the earlier thread to which they are referring and the introduction of a sequential numbering system might help. Such practices occur on other sites and prove very useful. Many thanks. Regards John
  19. Many thanks Peter. I did not know it existed, but I suppose that ignorance of the law is no excuse. I will do it tomorrow. Regards John

E class 220 cdi Auto Estate Elegance Jan 2003 215,000 miles 50mpg on any journey over 50 miles. The best and most financially economical car I have owned, although the GS450 h is catching it up fast. !!
