  1. Nor does my 2010 have it and there is no mention of it in the Handbook. Regards John
  2. I have the Kumho Solus All Weather tyres fitted to my GS450h for over 12 months now John. They have been excellent and according to my last MOT on 29 August, have not begun to wear as they still show the tread depth of 7.0 I would recommend them to you as being excellent value for money.. Regards John
  3. That Nissan S Cargo has brought smiles and smiles to my face Chris .A delightful car that looks just as practical as it does quirky. I once drove a Citroen XM from Central London to the Liverpool Waterfront. IT WAS DARK GREEN and had a manual gearbox and a floor operated hand/foot brake. It was rather difficult to move off when releasing the foot (left) operated brake and the foot (left) operated clutch at the same time !! Regards John
  4. Linas, Many thanks for that information, it certainly helps me to appreciate both points of view. When I started driving over 50 years ago, insurance was not cheap, but I suppose that everything is relative. My weekly wage of £5 had to cover all items of expenditure and I had to make sure that it did. I wish you well in your driving future. Regards John
  5. Very very interesting Paul. Not too dissimilar from my own experience. I`m approaching 71. Fully comp all of my driving life.Always fully protected ncb. 2 accidents, both my fault, many years ago, .... both approaching roundabout expecting car in front to move off..it didn1t so I HIT IT.Never losr ncb.Never claimed for injury.Never received any points on licence. Only ever used mainstream too. We must have a beer or or 7 seven sometime!! Regards John
  6. Vrmm Vrmm and Linas, It has been interesting to follow this thread and its been a bit like watching Ping-Pong. You both have strong views and I would not wish to criticise either of you for holding them. What I would find very interesting would be for each of you to declare on open forum just what your respective drivng records are, your respective ages (to the nearest 10 will do) and to state just how long you have been driving. Such information might enable members to view what has been exchanged between you, in some sort of context. No problem if neither of you wish to do so. Many thanks for the entertainment anyway. Regards John
  7. Exactly my sentiments too Malc. I think that as one gets older and gleans more experience, one`s perspective and values change significantly. Regards John
  8. Just had my insurance renewal through. £276 fully comprensive, including a named driver.Ncb protected, Social Domestic and Pleasure including European Cover. All questions answred honestly. I think I get an outstanding deal from my Insurance Company. Excellent value for money, me thinks. Regards John
  9. Can we have our Sequential Numbers back please? They seem to have been lost in a recent update. Please make them in bold so as to make them noticeable. Many thanks Regards John
  10. Normski, I have heard others say, as you do, that they cannot bond with their Lexus. It is souless and lacks character. Indeed it took me 12 months to appreciate my GS 450H, but boy, am I glad I waited. One can be married for a long time and only truly appreciate what you had when she has gone. Think long and hard and try to appreciate what you have. What you have is priceless! Regards John
  11. You mean Michel Platini surely ? Regards John
  12. Please can we have our sequential numbers back ? Top right hand corner of each thread is where they were and they seem to have been omitted at the last update. Please make the numbers bold. Many thanks Regards John
  13. I was not Trolling Linas. You appear to be ignorant of your responsibilities. Regards John
  14. If you really did crash their car Linas, then your insurance company will be delighted to hear from you ! Regards John
  15. And mine John, was a 1948 Black, Split Windscreen,848cc, side valve Minor with a 3 speed gearbox which gave 33mpg whether I was careful or not on Cross Ply tyres. Regards John
  16. Very interesting Ste. Thanks for posting. The comment from Ray of Lexus Customer Services seems (albeit arguably) to suggest something I have suggested on other threads re Lexus Warranties, namely the value of seeking and maintaining an excellent relationship with the local Lexus Dealership. Regards John
  17. Money "for old rope" , as the wear and tear clause will assume greater significance ?? Regards John
  18. https://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/ot-off-topic-forums/227666-r-i-p-malcolm-aka-television.html Regards John
  19. Yes, Stuart,Lilian was her name.I never met him personallly ,but did correspond with him on occasions .A very sad loss to the motoring world. Regards John
  20. Stuart, If you are talking about Malcolm (Television), then I am saddened to inform you that he has recently passed away after making over 150,000 posts. I agree with you that he was "a gem" and his passing has left an unfillable void. Regards John
  21. The average distance from Earth to the moon is 238,555 miles Mike.So the Lexus referred to falls 150,110 miles short of the entire return journey. :):):) Regards John
  22. Hi Andrew, Welcome to the club.I am sure that given time you will be more than generally impressed with the GS 450h. I would argue very strongly that the defect should be covered by the Lexus Warranty.Be firm, but polite with the local Lexus Dealer. Let us know how you get on. Regards John
  23. Mine is called " a brain" Alan, (litres to fill a tank/4.546 = x. Miles covered since last refill / x, to 3 decimal places. Regards John
  24. Just travelled from Wirral to St Andrews and return and averaged 38mpg on both journeys.Actual consumption, not OBC ! Perfectly acceptable, me thinks. Regards John
