  1. I think that we have both had the same Driving Instructor,William. :):):):):)
  2. An absolute Peach Sir, many congratulations upon her acquisition. Better use wide Bays only from now on .!
  3. No need to brag Steve. There are many of us who might be able to say the same thing ! :):):):):)
  4. Congratulations, that looks to be an excellent vehicle. You must be very proud having surpassed the distance from Earth to the Moon.
  5. Why not ask the private seller to put it into Lexus for them to say whether they will or wont ? If they will ,you buy the car and pay for the inspection. If they wont then you walk away.
  6. Well said Sir. Had Linas put a ? after his title line, this thread might have taken a different course ?
  7. Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder ! It is not my cup of tea.
  8. This seems to have many of the Lexus attributes ? https://www.youtube-nocookie.c om/embed/D4uSWtazRCM?rel=0
  9. Funny is that Pete. I too posted on the wrong (Mercedes ) Forum yesterday!
  10. A good news story that is pleasing to hear.Well done LexusTeeside. Although my car was supplied by Lexus Teesdie to its first owner, I have no connection with them.I just enjoy good outcome stories.
  11. Hi Bernie, Yes I did know that, but missed it having watched the entire video. I guess that many many people only think of DAF and rubber bands when they think of CVT boxes. Overall though a welcome review from a guy I have grown to like through viewing a number of his presentations.A welcome break from Clarkson, Top Gear presenters et al. Many thanks.
  12. I felt that was the best review of a Lexus sedan that I have ever seen. The driver could not be accused of not researching the vehicle and to criticise him for 3 seconds of failing to identify the strengths of the CVT box was I felt a little unfair.
  13. Ken, What was the outcome of the telephone call you were going to make on 29 August to Lexus ?
  14. Was that Lexus Chester by any chance that didn`t call you back Vas ?
  15. A brilliant car is/was, the Charade. I drove a diesel 1.0 litre 3 cylinder from Wirral to London to attend the Wimbledon Championships many years ago and achieved 83mpg for the round trip !! Regards John
  16. John, I have 17inch wheels and the tyres are 225-50-17`s. I have had the car (bought from Lexus Chester) for just over 4years. It had 17,000 on the clock and one previous owner. It has now completed 49,000 miles and has performed faultlessly. It is a pleasure to drive and can arguably be said to lack charisma and character (unlike Audi, BMW or Merc ! ). It is silent in operation and can be relied upon in all circumstances. It does not breakdown or complain. I have an extended Lexus Warranty and a Lexus Service Plan. Both are paid monthly by Direct Debit and I have not had to pay one penny extra for anything in 4 years. The OnBoard Computer shows 35.6 mpg over 49,000 miles, giving a real 33mpg me thinks. I cannot complain about anything. I must advise that it may take a little while to get used to its performance and undoubted character and reliability. Good luck. Regards John
