  1. I cannot find the source currently, but I am sure that if it exists then perhaps FARQUI can? The source I AM LOOKING FOR STATED THAT SO LONG AS THE FIRST LEXUS EXTENDED WARRANTY was taken out within the 10 year/140,000 mile limits and subsequent renewals were made without a break in cover, then the warranty would be continuous regardless of age or mileage. Thus it was theoretically possible to have cover all the way to say, 20 years/200,000 miles.
  2. Driving off without having unfolded mirrors stikes me as driving without due care and attention!
  3. Brian will still have his Statutory Warranty which will enable him to have significant defects fixed at Lexus` cost. I do not believe that a Statutory Warranty can be avoided.
  4. Very nice indeed, but not had time to clean the inside yet Graham ?
  5. Well said Steve. Now if all motorists did the same...............
  6. I really enjoyed watching that presentation. A superb vehicle with an outstandingly low drag coefficient. My GS 450H`S Grandfather ?
  7. Well said John, Compared to Renault, Peugeot, Citroen, Alfa, Vauxhall, Ford, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, the faults at 11/12 years are just a blip on the distant horizon.
  8. T`was just a thought matey.Nothing ventured nothing gained! Good luck with your enquiries.
  9. Lee, if you are stll under extended warranty, why not let Lexus determine what kind of problem you have (if any) ?
  10. Many thanks Phil. that intro made me laugh a lot. A wonderful journey and reminds me of my drive down to Munich in 1972 in my then Type 3 VW Fastback. I also apologise to Martin for the hi-jack !
  11. I must try to awaken much earlier than I seem to do , Phil. My apologies, I should be addressing you in respect of your Austrian trip. I reckon that you and I might both have been Milk Monitors in our respective Primary School classes !! I was born in the year that the FA Cup final was played at Wembley following the 2nd World War and won by Derby County (they beat Melchester Rovers 15-14 in the semis)
  12. Lee, number of miles covered, average mpg, route taken, overnight stops ??? All good info for fellow travellers.
  13. Miracles may take me a little longer Phil ! Have a nice day, as I`m off to pack now, as tomorrow morning early, we are taking Mrs Roy`s Mazda 2 to Leuchars near St Andrews in Fife for a few days. It`s first long trip.
  14. Not a very smart chip off the old block then matey?? :):):)
  15. Philip, old bean. Why on earth would anyone wish to remap a GS which currently has all of the power of a Falcon 9 rocket ???????????????????
  16. Probably 35mpg on the brim to brim method, but still very impressive indeed for such a journey. Well done Davey.
  17. Yes, you really are afraid of retiring matey. Look forward to it and bring it forward if you can as the best years of your life are ahead of you, so long as you don`t get pulled for breach of the peace in that daydream of yours. :):):)
  18. Try going around Paris or Madrid or Sevilla Den ! M62 is one of the most busy Motorways in UK and in my experience far worse than M6 any day of the week. M25 is no Sunday stroll either matey. :):):) How`s the aircon going?
  19. Sounds spot on USUF, as when my screen shows 40, my brim to brim calculations reads 38 !
  20. Lovely vehicle. Mine shows 35mpg over last 5 years motoring.
