  1. Brilliant detective work Harry. It makes one wonder about the veracity of the Reviews claimed since the establishment of Stellar ? p.s.. who shot JFK ? :):):)
  2. I think that this Company is in some way connected to Mosesgate of Bolton which mysteriously (to me) disappeared from the Internet recently. The texts of their vehicles are similar if not identical. I would wish to know more before dealing with them. The vehicle and its MOT history seem fine, BUT I would wish to contact the previous owner before concluding any deal. It may or may not be eligible for the Lexus Extended Warranty. The advert states that they are "Lexus Specialists", and this does not mean that they are in any way associated with Lexus UK.
  3. It is with us now Roger, but it didn`t stop us enjoying lunch in a Spanish restaurant 3000 feet up in the mountains ! Thunder and Lightning all around as I write!
  4. Is a beautiful Green LS 430 and I was delighted to follow it as it crossed the Border from France into Spain on Wednesday 5 September. It took off like a rocket and left my 52 Reg Merc for dead! Belong to anyone on here ?
  5. Thanks Roger, you have not long returned from a European voyage, have you not?
  6. Sad indeed but not uncommon. Should be repairable if you do not go to Kwikfit and the like.
  7. Thanks for taking up the challenge Andrew. I have just arrived in Andalucia having driven 1870 miles from Wirral in the Merc Estate, so have not been on the Forum for 6 days. I was referring to part F and support your views in your first paragraph. In my view the statement "we will not provide" etc refers to a new Extended Warranty and therefore is different to a continuing Extended Warranty. Regards John
  8. Ask the dealer to show you the part of the document which gives him the right to reduce the value of the vehicle you purchased. And when he cannot tell him that he is in breach of the contract and you will immediately raise the matter with Lexus UK HQ
  9. Thanks Vlad.I noticed that Arnold Clark run the MB franchise when I passed through Perth recently and I just thought it might be possible that they ran Lexus Edinburgh too. I have not read nor heard anything positive about Arnold Clark.
  10. Read your documentation Andrew. Refer to all of the relevant parts, not just the first sentence/paragraph which seems relevant. Please let us all know how you get on
  11. I believe that it is possible to extend the warranty if the mileage and age criteria were met when the extended warranty was first taken out and has not been interrupted. I mentioned this to Lexus Chester only last week and they had to read the warranty to see that I was correct Brian.
  12. Pete, I choose to take 4 days for the 1600 mile drive. A holiday (for me) prior to the holiday, so to speak. My wife now refuses to drive with me, so she flies and I collect her , usually from Granada airport. Plus an advantage of driving is that I do not need to hire a car for 10/12 weeks and I can pack more wine into my Estate car than I can pack into an Easyjet overhead locker! You really should try driving to Northern Spain..
  13. Between towns and cities Mike, the roads are like Sunday mornings 50 years ago.Just you on the road. Civility still exists and the Toll roads are very quiet especially at weekends when lorries are discouraged. Do not tell your wife, but mine flies, having been with me on 2 occasions and she has sworn never to do it again.Life can be pretty boring sitting in the passenger seat for hours on end. Regards John
  14. My Merc has shown an 8% over-read (compared to actual arithmetic calculation) for the last 15 years. I think that manufacturers build this sort of over enthusiastic figure into their software so as to impress drivers.
  15. A good price for everything. No Hybrid health check ?
  16. GS was in Lexus Chester for ;MOT,Annual Service (80.000 miles) and Hybrid Health Check. All passed, no problems and a bill of £280 which I did not have to pay as I have a Service Plan whereby I pay a small amount of £34 monthly. This monthly payment has been fixed since July 2014 and will remain so until December 2021. A no brainer me thinks !! They loaned me a CT Advance and whilst it was not as quiet, nor the ball of fire that my GS can be, it was perfectly satisfactory, economical, well equipped, well constructed and it performed faultlessly. I did not enjoy the Low Profile Tyres and the relatively harsh ride, but I would be more than happy to trade down to a CT when and if the need arises. It has a Hatch, folding rear seats, can take my Golf Clubs and Trolley easily and exudes genuine quality. I have no plans to trade down, but should I wish to do so I am comfortable with what awaits me.
  17. And your; job type of car driving record age s*x no.of drivers location where car parked overnight etc.
