  1. Pleased that all seems well and am looking forward to both a full report on the car once you have got used to it and to appropriate pictures ! Enjoy!
  2. Looks like it was mounted on the INSIDE of the wheel ? If so, that is deception of the highest order.
  3. Hope it works out for you as it is a great/phenomenal car. If Lexus sell it to you as an Authorised Lexus car and enrol it for the Extended Warranty Programme, then you have no need to worry about any missing service records.Good luck.
  4. Get Lexus Sidcup to request Lexus Hadfield to stamp the Service Book so as to warrant that the car has been fully serviced by Lexus. Get Lexus SIDCUP TO CONFIRM IN WRITING THAT THEY ARE SELLING YOU A LEXUS APPROVED USED CAR Get Lexus Sidcup to give the car an immediate full service and a 12 month warranty and you buy the car. You take out a Lexus Extended Warranty for 2 years If after 3 years ownership you wish to keep the car, then renew the Lexus Extended Warranty If after 3 years ownership, you do not wish to keep the car, then sell the car which will have a fully stamped Lexus Service History. Good luck Shahpour.
  5. Can you not speak with the previous owner Shahpor? I would have thought that Lexus, recognising a potential sale, could have put you in touch with one another.
  6. Been doing these trips twice a year for the last 13 years. Always take the Shuttle via Folkestone and Calais, then any of the 4 main routes down to Spain. Here are a couple of pics from my recent trip via Cleremont Ferrand, taking in the Viaduc de Garabit and the Via du Millau.
  7. Lord Leverhulme is quoted as having once said "50%of my advertising budget is wasted, but I do not know which 50"
  8. Good thinking Batman ! An elementary mistake which is potentially catastrophic in a series 3 GSh. .I always keep my rear shelf clear and even put my umbrella in the boot rather than on the rear shelf. Be interesting to learn what other Forum members think.
  9. Thanks Colin. Any idea why this seems to be the case? What is the source of the information ?
  10. Many thanks John. I agree with your comments, but I was simply offering possible alternatives in view of the OP`s limited budget and retirement status.. Both the Auris and Prius are part of the Toyota/Lexus family and their Hybrid batteries longevity are legendary. I would happily consider their purchase along with the CT.
  11. I had the same thoughts as Stuart and wondered if a CT200h might be a possibility. I have tried one recently and would happily downsize if I had to. Alternatively, what about a Prius or an Auris hybrid?
  12. A 3 year time lag is normal, given need to programme and issue etc. If roads are near to you you will probably know them anyway. Salisbury is still where Salisbury was, as is Winchester, Paris and Rome !! :):):)
  13. I bought mine from Lexus Chester, 5 years ago and nothing has gone wrong. In my view you must try to take out the Lexus Extended Warranty. Speak to Tom Skelton soonest and find out if you can. Hope all goes well with your new car.
  14. An amazing purchase Jeff. Read the Handbook first, then ask. Enjoy.
  15. As often as the road and traffic conditions dictate. If you are wearing your brakes out you need to consider your driving habits/abilities/skills.
  16. or you can turn the heat up to max once peer month to eliminate the bacteria.
  17. You could check with your Doctor too Anthony, you may have lazy hearing syndrome ? My wife is adamant that I have it. :):):)
