Hi Kal,
I endorse all that Lee has said.
I understand that "officially" Lexus has not admitted to one failure of a Hybrid Battery, so why not ask Lexus to carry out a Hybrid Battery Health Check for you (approx £60). They will give you the all clear or a diagnosis of the fault and the cost to repair/replace.
Then approach Richard again (Hybrid Battery Solutions) with the facts and ask him to quote for his work which I think I am right in saying will provide a 12 month warranty.
Good luck.
If the above does not help, I took mine to Lexus and asked them to remove the plastic cap covering the OBD Port and let it drop down by its thread thus exposing the Port and its location for you.
Hope that helps Ian.
I have now received a copy of the "Terms and Conditions document" and from what I can read, there is no catch.
If anyone wants a copy, then PM me please and I will send.
Ian can always connect it directly to the 12 volt battery if he cannot locate the OBD , it or does not have one, or he is reluctant to ask his local Dealer !
I would take up the matter in writing with the Dealer Principal of Lexus Edinburgh.
A mechanic`s guess is not sufficient to determine a cause and it is not Lexus Edinburgh`s job to turn down a warranty claim it is TGW`s, the Policy administrator. They are supposed to process the claim on your behalf.
If necessary seek the view of a local qualified heating / air con engineer, before you return the matter to Lexus Edinburgh.
Good luck
A good post Linas.
If I felt that the police were abdicating their responsibilities I would write to the Chief Constable and if no success would write to my MP. If no success I would make a Freedom Of Information Request seeking the number of times the Police have used "not in the public interest" as a way of avoiding their responsibilities. Then I would inform the Press.
Food for thought ?

Good going George.
Just arrived back from Spain, having dodged the yellow vest brigade and travelling 1750 miles in my fully loaded (Rioja) 16 year old diesel , 233,000 miles E class estate, which returned 51mpg
Thanks Ian.I do know about that, but what I do not know are the associated Terms and Conditions which will apply. You will need to speak to your local Lexus Dealer for the details and I (and others I am sure) would be interested to know what you find out. I smell a catch !!
