Get the Breakdown Service (BS) to go to your car soonest and have a friend in attendance. BS will start the car and ask your friend to keep the engine running for 30 mins. Ask friend to start the car up the next day and keep it running for 30 mins again. Ask your friend to do this religiously once each week until you arrive When you collect the car, give your friend a case of wine or a litre and a half of Scotch ! All the very best as nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Patience is indeed required. Don`t jump, seek advice here first--I am not an expert on the subject,but there are others who will be very supportive

You are Lucille. Instead of asking for the Moon, try asking for the Galaxy and relax your critieria a little, although unusually (lol) there is a lot of sense in what Phil and Malc have said above.

For several years my GS rested connected to a Solar Charger for periods of up to 3 months while I was away in Spain. No problem.

When I had my VW Beetle in `69 I covered the front boot lid with a rubbery/plastic curtain which to an extent protected the paintwork from stones but introduced other problems like water retention, staining and inducing rust !

Welcome John. I have driven several CT`s and found them to be fine. Brakes were no different to other cars I`ve driven and engine only noisy if your foot is to the floor! I try to drive anticipatingly , so my foot is rarely to the floor. Do not believe any reports written by so called motoring journalists,but rather listen to what Lexus owners say about their cars. If you adjust your driving mirrors correctly, there are no blind spots. You might need time to adjust driving a Hybrid however as it is rather quiet and rarely breaks down. I am sure that other CT owners will be along soon to give you their three penneth. Enjoy and do give us a full report !

A lot of what we once bought John, was made in Birmingham Then it was made in Taiwan and now China. As Roger has indicated it may move to Vietnam and India or indeed elsewhare.. The factories of the World left U.K. and are now doing the rounds. As far as the U.N. is concerned, I think that it is toothless. It was a fat lot of use in Bosnia for instance and with the Global Powers as was and is having the power of veto, will remain so. As far as China is concerned my view is that it is unstoppable militarily and economically (although can be matched in both ).It is so important that the Western and supportive nations stand together to stand up to bullying tactics. It`s demise will in my view come from within its own boundaries or from natural catastrophe.
