  1. Your point is well made RIchie. As I understand it we would compile list of Organisations (Garages, People etc) used by Members and found to have been knowledgeable and proficient (Indies) in the servicing/ repair of Lexus vehicles. The list need not be endorsed by Mods or ascribed to Lexus, but merely be kept by us members as a record of the member concerned having been satisfied with the quality and price of work performed. It could be kept and updated by one of us and made available to any Member upon request. Food for thought? Let`s see what others think.
  2. Hi Rod, and welcome. Have you seen this in cars for sale section below all of the Forums section? IS 250 SE-L COMING V SOON
  3. Barry, you are right and the suggestion has been made several times during the last 7 years of my membership. Such a list could become a "sticky" at the start of the Forum section and be added to by Members following their use of an Indie (suitably endorsed of course). Lee, Richie, Herbie, Malc, Roger, Phil and I have all referred to "their Indie", so if we collect a list we can ask the Mods if they will implement it? Thought invited.
  4. Peter, I have just checked my 2014 Service Plan and I was wrong. My Agreement is with Lexus Chester.I`m sorry for my error.
  5. Thanks Herbie. I must correct my earlier statement as having read my original agreement dated July 204, I find the agreement whilst sold under the Lexus umbrella is in my case, with Lexus Chester. I`m sorry for my earlier statement in which i said the agreement was with Lexus nationally.Apologies.
  6. You are right Mark. A good Indie is worth his weight in Gold, but they are few and far between.
  7. The Service Plan is not with the Dealership,it is with Lexus.
  8. Hi Marc and welcome to the Forum. I took out a service plan 7 years ago at a cost of £34 per month fixed. I`ve had all of my services carried out on schedule and not had to pay an additional penny. It works for me and could work for you. Have a good read of all the details provided to you by the Dealer and decide if is for you. Let`s have some piccies of your RX please when you are ready.
  9. And their hourly rate is ? We learn so much, don`t we ? Thank you Mr Berners Lee.
  10. Many congratulations Lucy- a wonderful catch. Have been watching from a respectable distance and was pleased to see the hatted person drive off in it. Now, as we say to all new Members, can we have some nice piccies please, inc you at the wheel and a full report after a suitable period of time. Do enjoy ! Regards
  11. Vlad, You need to satisfy yourself that you have a case to pursue. Have a read of this first. https://www.councilclaims.co.uk/highway-authority-duties/
  12. Graham is right Vlad. Pusue it with vigour as he suggests and if appropriate pursue through The Sheriffs Court in Scotland. Too many Authorities bully people, but they think twice when the Court`s papers drop on their doorstep.
  13. And if I had looked everything up in Encyclopedia Britannica, I would have learned a lot ! The inclusion of an appropriate link is often rather useful. Next time I am down your way Phil, I will show you how.
  14. He is ignoring his Statutory Obligations again, I see. "Caveat Emptor."
  15. Hi Steve, The answer is in my Handbook (2010) is it in yours ?
  16. Many thanks Steve. Now if Phil had provided the link...................................................!
  17. I agree with Rayaan and would suspect that the number of Tesla vehicles bought in UK by an owner out of his own pocket and not reclaimable or Tax Deductible can be counted on the fingers of one hand!
  18. Thanks Roger, clearly you and the other two very clever men were outsmarted or outwinked or outflanked etc. It must have been both difficult and frustrating for all of you. The Small Claims Track does however provide the Man on the Clapham Omnibus to have his day without incurring much time or effort. Another time perhaps?
  19. A bit surprising Roger that such a clever man did not pursue via the Small Claims Track of the County Court ? I informed Cheshire West and Chester Authority recently of a repair that needed attending to . I did it via the appropriate section of its website and received an instant acknowledgement along with an allocated reference number. That afternoon, the necessary work was ring marked and 2 days later, was completed. So, it can be done Roger and those Authorities not complying with their responsibilities should be pursued. Just reporting and having all of the necessary documents and receipts comes to nought if the original complainant does not use the full force of the law.
  20. Escalating your concerns up the lexus chain might be an appropriate step W ?
