Should I buy an eco car?
Is it worth getting a hybrid car? I'm 67, retired and live on the coast. Most of our journeys are local but occasionally we drive further afield.

There are lots of very good hybrids on the market. The Toyota Corolla is one of the best on sale right now. It's smooth, comfortable and well-equipped: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/toyota/corolla-2019/
I'd also recommend the Lexus NX: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/lexus/nx-2014
In our family Don and over a period of 40 years we have had 7 German cars (Audi and Merc ) and all have given trouble.
We have had 7 Japanese cars (Nissan, Daihatsu, Toyota, Mazda and Lexus and not one has had ANY problems.
If you are paying for your own car Paul, the answer has to be dependability.
If it is a Company purchase and I am your Fleet Manager, the answer is still the same.
It would be good news if the Lexus Dealer did not afford you the courtesy of a reply as you could then escalate the matter to Lexus.U.K.Head Office. It could not stand idly by whilst its hard earned reputation for exemplary customer service was in danger of being shredded. What would the Daily Mail say ?
Brilliant John, many thanks--it is now No 9 !
I think that Barry U.K. may be compiling a list, but he has been silent on the matter since he mentioned it.
My mentioning it might jog his slumber.
If Motorline do not comply then inform Lexus U.K. The Motorline Group is not famous for its 100% customer service. They cannot afford to lose the franchise.
Rich, if it has been serviced by Lexus every year and there are stamps to prove it, then why do you not demand that Lexus explain its lack of care towards both you and your vehicle ?
