  1. You should try the Range Rover experience Steve.......and be stuck in a lay-by for 7 hours !
  2. Listers 0 RRG Group 1. We should keep a score and sort out the Wheat from the Chaff !

  4. Now that really is the wisdom of an older and wiser man !
  5. Good news Ben, so your Bad Day is turning out ok, now. You do not need to take the M.O.T until next year. The notes that have been made are only advisory. I would expect the wheel alignment to be covered by the Extended Warranty, but do not bank on it. You must read the Extended Warranty document for clarification on that one.The warranty document will always override the views of Members of the Forum.
  6. Look at this Paul.Welcome by the way. Lexus Indie Garages (1).docx
  7. Yes, Vince........you are asking for your youth back.....and it aint comin !
  8. Mark it is clear to me from your posts under this thread that you have never had a Lexus Extended Warranty. As one who has had one for as long as I have had my GS,I can tell you that they are outstandingly good, the best by far in the field and have saved Members here considerable sums of money. You often offer sound observations and advice, but please take car when trying to offer advice on a subject which can sometimes take some explaining and about which you are largely ignorant. My comment is intended to be helpfully constructive and not destructively critical.
  9. Mark it is clear to me from your posts under this thread that you have never had a Lexus Extended Warranty. As one who has had one for as long a I have had my GS,I can tell you that they are outstandingly go Stay in touch and we will do our best for you Kenny !
  10. I am not surprised that you are having a bad day Ben. Let`s try and look at matters rationally. All Lexus Dealerships are franchises and they do not all belong to the same Franchise. Woodford is part of the Hills Group and Sidcup is part of the Jemca Group. They will not always be best friends either with you or with themselves. If the car has passed its M.O.T. do not expect the Extended Warranty Claim to be approved as the car has not been assessed as requiring attention to make it roadworthy. It appears to me that Woodford have identified problems which they say are Red items and yet have provided a full M.O.T. They are trying to increase their revenue by pressuring you in my opinion as otherwise why would they have issued an M.O.T Certificate? Receive your car back from Woodford, pay the Bill and then contact Sidcup and explain what has happened and ask if they will consider addressing matters on your behalf under their 12 month warranty which they issued to you upon your purchase.
  11. Hi Ben. If you bought the car under one year ago,I would expect the warranty given by Sidcup to be that which should cover your problems. Take up the matters identified by Woodford immediately.Perhaps Woodford can contact them on your behalf? If more than one year ago I would expect the Official Lexus Extended Warranty to address the problems, so inform Woodford that you have the Extended Warranty Cover. This covers you for 2 years from the date Sidcup`s cover expires, for mechanical and electrical problems (so long as you have not caused them). Keep us all posted as to how you get on .
  12. And keep a written record of what has been agreed!
  13. Before I retired whenever I jumped into a London Taxi I used to say one of two things to the driver immediately I sat down. Either "wow, a Nissan diesel, how many miles are on the clock?" or "I`m a Liverpool supporter and if you support Arsenal I`m getting out now!" Either question made me a friend for the entire journey. Yes, Bernard in the old days if cars made 100,000 miles it was someone telling Porkies! They used to rust from the inside out before 50,000.
  14. And he`s had to fit a new Steering Wheel cover ! https://www.fwi.co.uk/machinery/4x4s/high-hour-horsepower-toyota-lc5-clocks-600000-miles
