Sincere apologies for hijacking this thread, but today I received something which is obliquely relevant. It tickled me.. "Europes only black snake is found in Germany. You can sometimes see it, but only when it rains. Yes, we have had to take a year off Martin. My Elegance Estate just loved rolling up the miles and now sits on 247,006. I never take the GS. I hope that the Frenchies have taken down those 90kmph signs as the National Speed Limit reduced to 80 LAST JULY !!

It is not strange David. The Highway Code provides an example of when it is considered necessary, any other time it is careless (and inconsiderate) driving and capable of being punished.

In 9 cases out of 10, in the circumstances mentioned by David, in my view it is careless driving and that is a punishable offence.

Viewing not allowed from Driver`s seat. Try it with ignition turned to 1st turn only and car in Park. And receive 100 points for referring to Handbook !!
