  1. Have a chat with Richard at Hybrid Battery Solutions, he is a member here. https://www.hybridbatterysolutions.co.uk/
  2. Re your last para Paul---Asimov was ignored by HAL in 2001 A Space Odyssey, was he not ?
  3. Thanks Paul. I think so too. I find that with age comes experience, with experience comes wisdom and with wisdom comes forgetfulness ! Have a good day !
  4. I found that an enjoyable read Renato. Thank you.
  5. Low profile tyres and damaged alloys are mutually inclusive as you are aware Paul. Why do people not listen--it is not some kind of conspiracy theory.
  6. Hi Alan, You may or may not be aware that for some time now I have been encouraging Members to comment upon the Service provided by their Lexus Dealerships. The purpose was not to say which is best or which is worst. It was to provide a flavour of Lexus Service overall. We have identified more than 48 Dealerships administered by at least 21 Franchises (Groups). Hedge End is part of the Snows Group along with Exeter and Plymouth.I have noticed very little ( IF ANY) adverse comments about these Dealerships. Lincoln is part of the Listers Group along with Cheltenham and Coventry and there have been pluses and minuses for this Group. Hull is part of the John Roe Group and appears to be the only Lexus Dealership in that Group. I have noticed only good remarks about Hull. I have advocated that Members should report on those occasions when good or not so good performances have been received from their Dealerships. I have asked that the Dealership should be named but that names should not be ascribed to individuals in instances of poor customer service.Any concerns should be taken up by the Member with the appropriate Dealership. It is not intended, nor is it possible and nor would it be fair, for many reasons to draw up a table ranking each Dealership. I also have drawn up a list of those Dealerships and Indies which Members have suggested might be considered for future use,on the basis of what level of satisfaction they received on the last occasion of their visit. The list is not official and I pass it to those requesting to know if there is an Indie near to them.Organisations listed are not being recommended for use but simply to make Members aware of their location. It is extremely important that Members and Lexus owners generally are aware of Lexus Essential Service facilities which offers low cost maintenance which can competitive with local Indies.Full details are on the Lexus website.
  7. So, Sports Suspension plus Large diameter wheels plus Low Profile and noisy tyres in aggregate contribute to noisier and uncomfortable vehicles. None of this is new, but manufacturers continue to sell "Sports" models in the belief that this is what the customer wants?
  8. Thanks John.Full marks to Cheltenham then for really good service. My Dealer is Chester too and I agree with your thought about them. Tom Skelton is a class act.
  9. I did read my friend and was impressed.Lets see what your correspondent makes of it. Congrats on 4k.
  10. If you have a convenient 13amp power supply, or just sit in the car, start it up,then read the Handbook for 30mins each 5/6 days whilst it charges itself. It will switch itself on and off during this time,so just read on ! Or buy one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/NOCO-GB20-UltraSafe-Lithium-Gasoline/dp/B015TKPT1A/ref=sxin_8_sxwds-deals-bau?crid=3BDRLD20VFU44&cv_ct_cx=jump+starter+power+pack&dchild=1&keywords=jump+starter+power+pack&pd_rd_i=B015TKPT1A&pd_rd_r=0eeee464-d6fa-422d-a1d0-b2d8aed62e00&pd_rd_w=kkk6V&pd_rd_wg=8lC2O&pf_rd_p=14202638-f5d7-4aaf-a990-7819aeac1d41&pf_rd_r=GFK9R2E3B1D0E9HQV1N9&psc=1&qid=1604772232&sprefix=jump+start%2Caps%2C228&sr=1-2-52097d59-f253-4553-be63-55323b14096b
  11. I believe that is correct. 149,000 can be exceeded, but 10 years cannot. Important though to maintain good, close and effective relationships with one`s local Lexus Service Team so as to best ensure that claims at higher mileages are not fobbed of as "wear and tear"
  12. Hi Mahiddun. 1. It is fair if you are prepared to pay it. They may settle at £13750 if you are prepared to pay that. It is a high mileage ,but if it a Lexus Official Dealer and has a FULL Lexus Service History, it should be ok. 2. A Lexus Dealer should offer a 12 month warranty and may even give you a 3 year Extended Warranty as part of the Deal.Accept both.If you have essentially a 3 year warranty cover, that should give you plenty of time to spot if there is anything wrong. You can then purchase an additional Extended Warranty until the car has covered 140,000 miles or is 10 years old. 3. 150,0000 miles with full Lexus Servicing should be easily achievable. That`s my view,so let us see what others come along and say.
