  1. Graham, have you considered taking out a Service Plan? It offers the opportunity to pay monthly and so will help the cash flow situation. Your views on the Lexus Extended Warranty will surely change if you were to have a mechanical or electrical failure failure of a Protected Part during each 2 year warranty period. Did you not read the terms under which the Extended Warranty operates before you took it out??
  2. You should substitute "some pupils" for "we", perhaps Shada ? :):)
  3. Thanks for replying Bren. As a result you are back in my squad to travel to play Mars away. 🙂
  4. I`ll drink to that Nicky.Do stay on the Forum though.
  5. What is the point of spending £10,000 Nicole, just to save peanuts? Keep the RX300 and save until you can afford it. And don`t even imagine that you will get anywhere near the fuel consumption that manufacturers claim. Oh, and buy a lottery ticket as stranger things have happened.
  6. I enjoyed that Keith.Thanks for posting.
  7. Many thanks for the report and the piccies PJ. Fuel consumption figures are remarkable. I like your colour scheme. Cars do NOT come much better and £ for £ it is unbeatable. Looking forward to your contributions on the Forum.
  8. Thanks Mark. That was appalling service indeed. DId they eventually fix the job to your satisfaction under warranty? Did you make a formal complaint of any kind? I understand that the employee whose initials you provided has moved on to pastures new, but I do not know if he was encouraged to do so. When I had words with him about tyres,he happened to tell me that he had come from a BMW Dealership. I find that last point interesting.
  9. She looks a beauty S. A car which oozes quality. Thanks for sharing. Fear not about the loss of future IS models. There many GS models still available and when you try one of those it will capture your heart.
  10. Mark has given good advice S. Did you buy the car from a Dealer in 2018 ? If yes, ask them if there is any evidence of repair.
  11. Not something I would have expected,or accepted Mark. What was the problem you referred to them and what was the final outcome? If you can recall the name of the person with whom you were dissatisfied--then PM it to me please?
  12. If they didn`t have cover they would have received a driving ban would they not Malc ?
  13. Welcome PJ. You have had some mighty fine steeds! Can you tell us something about the 460? How long owned, no.of miles, trouble free, maintain yourself? That sort of thing and oh, a nice piccy if possible. Thanks.
  14. Nicki, they are both fine vehicles. I would only recommend buying the Lexus from a Lexus Dealer with a full Lexus Service History, but your budget would need to be boosted by £4000. Others on here may disagree.Piers (above) offers good advice.
  15. Welcome Scroll.Nice car you have--any piccies and why did you buy it and what brought you to Lexus ?
  16. Good to learn that it has arrived Barry. I`m sure you will be delighted with it. Does not seem that long since you broke the news to us all on Sept30.
  17. In normal times..... each Saturday morning is a free car wash, along with coffee/tea/cakes and biscuits and if you wait while the Mazda or Skoda is being serviced, then Bacon Butties are served at 9.30 am ! But not to be relayed to owners of Audi, BMW,Mercedes, Vauxhall, Ford, ETC,ETC.
