  1. An extremely helpful post Richard. It may be useful for the buyer to know the Ball Park figure you are looking for, why you are selling, when tax and M.O.T. are due etc, etc, Good luck.
  2. He`s not lucky Davey if he is with a good, solid, sound and honorable Insurance Company. He is extremely fortunate. I have taken the opportunity to read through all of these postings and notwithstanding all that has been said I am of the view that Barry will have to disclose the fact that he has been involved in a Road Traffic Incident, at the time of his insurance renewal. He may already have done so "for information purposes." Certainly it is undeniable that he was not to blame in any way, shape or form and it is quite likely that once all of the facts are assimilated, he will not lose his "No claims Bonus". Nor should he ,in my view. What he and his Broker may be unable to avoid is the effect that his involvement may have on his Insurance Premium(s) going forward i.e. prior to the application of his No Claims Bonus. Therefore it is of paramount importance that any claim he submits following this incident with the Audi includes an appropriate sum for the possible increase in his Insurance Premiums for the 5 years going forward. His Broker may be able to assist with the calculation.
  3. If the ignition key was on your person, perhaps you inadvertently put some pressure on it as you were leaving the vehicle? I`d get the battery changed anyway.Keep an eye on the 12v battery too as a failing one can sometimes cause strange events. Oh, when shopping,do park in as conspicuous a place as possible near to the store/shop entrance in full view of cctv cameras and well away from Vans,Pickups etc.
  4. Cris, just go back to page1 of this thread.
  5. I don`t think I have heard of one taken from a GS James.
  6. Spot on Bernard, but that is how young people live in UK nowadays, sadly.
  7. Won`t it be nicked smartish living in that neck of the woods ?
  8. People overlook, or forget, or just don`t know, that when Lexus introduced the LS into the U.S.A. in the late 80`s, a good number of problems arose and owners complained. It was how those problems were dealt with that was important. Lexus sent specialised technicians to the homes of each complainant, to address and correct/fix each reported matter. That was Customer Service that had never been seen before. They cared, because caring can lead to a satisfied customer and a satisfied customer can lead to increased sales. Not Rocket Science, but fundamentally important. If the basics ain`t right..........................................!
  9. Excellent Mike. I thought that Dim, Flicker and Off were the Romanian half back line in the 1962 World Cup !
  10. Read and digest this Nickyt211. https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/problems-with-a-new-or-used-car-your-consumer-rights/
  11. You seem easily pleased Doog. I must say if I`d spent 100,000 plus euros on a vehicle and still had outstanding issues after 12 months I`d have gone ballistic. Anyway, a fool and his money......................................
  12. If it was a Lexus, it would. Please keep us all updated.
