I bought 2 Keplin one kg bags Vlady. I believe that they are designed to absorb moisture from the air in the vehicle and not to prevent or minimise leaks.It says on the box that they can be used for at least 12 months.

I just bought 2 Vlad from Amazon for £20. I put one on the dashboard of the Merc and one on the Yaris. Now all condensation has gone. Brilliant.

If the people selling it wont put it right then walk away.

There`s many of us like you Alex. We are not of the throwaway society. I feel that used Lexus vehicles will appreciate in value relative to other used cars. How many other manufacturers warrant their vehicles for 10 years and 140,000 miles and their Hybrid Batteries for 15 years ?

I guess they have Ken.............................in their dreams.🤣 Lexus claims are produced in accordance with strict guidelines and to that extent are no more inaccurate or misrepresentative than the other manufacturers claims.

Expensive compared to what Gurdeep ? Ask for a 2 year warranty and a new set of decent tyres and you will have a vehicle that can be warranted until 2030 on the Hybrid Battery(free) and 2025 on Electrics and Mechanicals (if you pay approx £40 per month upon completion of the expiry of the 2 year warranty). Seems a very good deal to me Sir. And you will retain the tax free services of an extremely happy lady !😂😂

Many thanks Paul that reply warmed the cockles of my heart ! Full marks to Lexus Cheltenham then. We have a couple of members who speak warmly of them. My GS Gen 3 450h is covered by the Lexus Extended until 2023.but onlyhad to use it once--for a new headlight. As you rightly say, it is a small price to pay for peace of mind. I continue to be amazed at people who say it (RX) is not economical when they drive it at considerable speed and it possess almost the aerodynamic qualities of a brick ! Take care and stay safe.

On the basis of what you said at the outset, you could NOT have run the engine first. I always experience the situation you describe whenever I press the start button without pressing the Brake Pedal at the same time. I fail to see how it could be your battery when you say that everything lights up on the dashboard.

Hi Keith, You have registered and input what details for the car? If you cannot find the car, is it possible that it had a Personal Plate? By Log Book No,do you mean VIN no. ? Have you asked Lexus Poole yet ?

Many thanks Paul for taking the time to detail the problems you have had. If you have stated that previously, I have either missed it or, forgotten it. Certainly it is a major surprise to me to receive such a report on such a vehicle as the RX450h. I assume it was bought from Lexus locally and serviced by them throughout. I also presume that you did not think it necessary to take out the official Lexus Extended Warranty, which for an average payment of £40 odd per month would have covered most if not all of the difficulties you had. For Lexus to state that you were unlucky relative to the RX generally, suggests to me that they should in those circumstances have moved Heaven and Earth to ensure that you did not remain a dissatisfied customer. Was it Lexus Cheltenham ? I note that your experience with Honda and the Toyota has been considerably more satisfying and in fact mirrors mine. Thanks for the update, which will serve to remind me that Lexus are not always built, or maintained, by Gods !
