    Thanks Roger. Never assume anything my friend. I merely enquired if the manual had been referred to. I had not read it, but from experience I find that approx 80% of so called problems can be resolved by reference to the Owners Handbook ( Manual ) and approx 80% of owners never read it or refer to it. I will now try to read your UX Manual.     I accept what you say and I did know all of that Nic. I failed to explain that there is a relationship between the Subaru and Toyota Companies to the effect that Toyota has a investment in Subaru. I believe that this may lead to an exchange of technologies. I certainly remember the little Justy from Subaru.

    Trickle charging a Hybrid via the CTEK is fine Ed. My GS lives outside too, but with the mini jump starter, it can start most cars batteries which are flat. My Merc estate has covered just 192 miles in the last 12 months and it has started first time every time each week. I moved it forwards and backwards on the Drive yesterday, just to satisfy myself that Brakes etc were not solid. It has been in PARK with the Handbrake off.
