    Well said Sir ! I find that criticism of Lexus by a Journalist who has never owned a Lexus is not worth the paper it is written on. And criticsm of Lexus by an owner who has never had one before suggests to me that he has not done his homework or due diligence before buying. And criticsm of Lexus by someone who has it as a Company Car has it as a way of reducing his Benefit in Kind and his moans concern that it is not as good as his Audi/BMW or Mercedes was. But criticism of Lexus by a seasoned owner for several years of a Lexus is something I value.

    Thanks for the comments Eric. My view of diesel fuel does not accord with yours. Further discussion between us on this subject is unnecessary. I do however have much sympathy with some of the views you have expressed in earlier conversations/Postings and would encourage you to continue to "plough your furrow" albeit in a less than assertive manner.

    Mine goes off when warm without the need to add air.

    Air expands as it warms and contracts when it is cool. This might explain what you thihnk is a Lexus fault.

    Sorry Ant,I`ve just got back from an appointment and have read the above. Perhaps if I stopped corresponding in code and said what I meant in the first place, things would slot together more swiftly. I endorse your idea and it seems that others do too. Let`s see how it develops ? I cannot imagine acquiring an SC430 myself,but I will observe from a distance. From little Acorns, Oak trees grow !

    Me likewise. Doing 40mph exactly, on the A41 past Cammel Laird in Birkenhead with a Police car following. I was feeling rather smug until it overtook and stopped me and the Policeman exercising the flexible dispensation that he used to possess told me the speed limit was 30mph and told me to drive more carefully in future. "Be on your way son." I never forgot that incident.
