    Very good Phil and thoughtful of you to try to steer a way through what has for some people been a confusing situation. My 10 year plus extended warranty began on 1st October and as yet I have heard nothing from anybody. I will address that matter on the telephone tomorrow. One important matter to bear in mind is that when overseas it is only the members Lexus vehicle which will be attended. This has not been the case until now. Perhaps the mods might make your posting above a "sticky" to appear before the list of Forums so that it can be referred to by all members in future ?

    Ant,I would not worry if the mechanism is flawed or not, I would just perform the Brim to Brim test monthly or quarterly and use the results as the definitive result. But then, I can be considered a cantakerous and cynical old sod.🤣🤣

    If it is a lost dream John, then most if not all European Motor Manufacturers will go bust as they have committed themselves to not producing vehicles with internal combustion engines. Manufacturers which have retained a presence in Hybrid vehicles are not so committed.. Commit your Lexus to a long term future Sir.

    Martin, The answer to your first question is No. The Warranty is provided by Lexus and has certain conditions attached to it. If one does not fufil those conditions, then one loses one`s Warranty. Have you made contact yet with Lexus UK over your original complaint ?

    You are quite right Phil. I complained recently to a Doctors` Surgery about its process for handling requests to see/speak to, a Doctor. The Office Manger responded to me (following her return from holiday?) and had the cheek to add at the foot of her response that its standards of performance included taking 6 months to respond to correspondence ! Now, if I was appointed to that Board, I would demand that each member who had supported that standard, should resign . Professional incompetence ?

    Phil`s Posting is not too wide of the mark. One sees evidence of it in Doctors` Surgeries, Chemists, Hospitals and Retail Outlets. Always try to be both firm and fair. Keep copious notes of all events if possible, be accompanied if appropriate and escalate within the hierarchy. If the Dealer Principal (the Top Guy) within a Motor Dealership is unwilling to assist, then escalate to Lexus U.K. naming names situations and outcomes. Good luck.
