  1. or you could put it in READY mode as per your Handbook Dave ?
  2. Hi Ray, does your Handbook give you any clues ?
  3. And I once achieved 83 mpg in a 3 cylinder Daihatsu Turbo Diesel from Wirral to Wimbledon and return ! So many variables indeed.
  4. I passed one last night Vlady. It was in my dreams as I was driving along the Inter-Galactic Highway🤣🤣
  5. So true John. Nuclear fusion is not yet a finished product either, but investment is taking place on a Grand scale. It would be interesting to find out what is holding this particular development beck.
  6. So, the Al-air could be a useful option John unless powerful forces prevent it ?
  7. When I read the article I was reminded how in its early years oil producers sat on patents and so prevented investment in Solar and Battery power leading to the rise of the internal combustion engine. Mr Musk would not approve of the development of the Al-air EV Battery would he ?
  8. A really smart move William, but as is bound to happen it would indeed be your really bad luck to miss that priceless, that once every Oberammergau Passion Play moment when words of wisdom give a vague hint that somewhere deep down in his body there is a functioning brain.🤣
  9. The NX has a drag coefficient of .33 which is not particularly conducive to fuel efficiency, and it is an S.U.V. If 36.9 is taken from the on-board computer, it will really be 35 max and motoring for long stretches at 80 and 70 mph, then I`m not surprised at the fuel consumption figures. He could have made significant improvements in those figures had he motored at a steady 56 mph, but in truth he might not have finished his journey yet !🤣🤣
  10. I read about Trevor Jackson’s brilliant invention of an aluminium-based battery that will on one charge enable a car to travel 1,500 miles. But he is deliberately being sidelined by major manufacturers as they would lose out. It seems bloody-minded that they would do this as it will be a world beater and give the UK a world lead in this field. Have you heard about this and what if anything can be done to get him recognised and promoted by our government? PH Readers can find out more about Trevor Jackson’s Al-air EV battery by reading this article. As the author says, “A long-range, lightweight, cost-efficient, recyclable and ethically sourced battery is, arguably, the Holy Grail of the EV market.”

  12. It certainly was Sergio and a good out come for Barry B.
  13. NSU or Auto Union ?
  14. Only on ice Bernard. I have never been one to even think about approaching limits. I did once think about getting one of the (then) new Type 4 cars, but they didn`t seem to sell well as it turned out. I never returned to VW.
  15. There was a type3 Saloon (Notchback) and Fastback (I had 2) and an Estate (Variant) Rear engined, rear wheel drive Flat 4 1600cc engine mounted in rear and 2 Boots Phil. There was also a Type 1 and a Type 3 Karmann Ghia.
  16. Why not get a younger GS 450h Shahpor in early 2023 ? It too will have a LEXUS EXTENDED WARRANTY and by the time that is nearly expiring there will be a raft of new Lexus vehicles available.
