  1. Beat me to it Stevie.👍
  2. Phil, Are you unwell, as you have just agreed with yourself ? I do agree with you by the way.👍
  3. Some people just cannot imagine how a Lexus can mould one`s driving style and personality, until they try one that is ! Hang on to that V6 as it`s being replaced by a 4 pot !
  4. I can agree with your views on the V6 motor.Sublime.
  5. My 450H Ken is like a Saturn 5 without the noise, vibration and harshness. I agree with your views of it.
  6. As Ken R says below. Nothing to worry about-it happens all of the time in my old Merc. A Yellow light is your friend advising you.
  7. It is very sad that an organisation such as the AA is unable to recognise its long standing and loyal members. In this however, they are not alone. Leadership and responsibility begin at the summit.
  8. Thanks Colin. It can be a focal point which members can refer to and new memebers should be able to find easily.
  9. "it's all down to HR employing the wrong staff .... poor education / social morals etc ....... it's endemic I'm afraid" Utter drivel. I was a Member of several Chartered Institutes Malc, including the one for HR people. I can speak volumes about both good and poor recruitment exercises. We both know of well educated people of extremely high social standing who have turned out to be less than honest (in all senses of that word), in their lives. Your statement is lamentable in my opinion and you should be ashamed that you allowed yourself to make it.😒
  10. Thanks Maurice. Yes, it does indeed help. I came into this conversation to report my conversation with L.R.A. (AA). I have a ten Year plus Warranty with Lexus, arranged with my local Lexus Dealership and which includes L.R.A., ostensibly at no cost. All of my comments have related to this Warranty. It now seems that others have access to L.R.A. directly at their own cost. The term L.R.A is therefore available in 3 guises -under the manufacturers warranty for 3 years it is free. It is not available free of charge under the Relax Warranty, but owners can purchase it directly by contacting AA directly. And under the 10 year plus warranty where again it is free. I am only able to contribute in respect of the L.R.A. as it relates to me and I`m sorry if I have confused or upset anyone. Onwards and upwards.
  11. I`ll finish my lunch and return to this later! My Kingdom for a Pork Pie !!
  12. I do not think that is quite right. The owner of the car buys the warranty and the warranty has the L.R.A. riding tandem. If the new owner of the car does not buy and pay for the warranty there is no L.R.A riding tandem, is there ?
  13. No, Maurice, I think it more appropriate to ask that question of the DEALER as one of the two Principal Parties setting up the Arrangement. Perhaps you could do that ?
  14. Good thinking Phil. Would you like to approach the mods about producing a "sticky" so that all members can find it ?
  15. I have just spoken with L.R.A. and they confirm that I am covered by the facility up and including 30 September 2023. I took out a 10 year plus extended warranty with Lexus Chester wef 1 October and it is their responsibility to issue any documentation in respect of R.A. It is clear to me that the A.A. and Lexus are the Parties to an Agreement, to which we (you and me) as Owners are beneficiaries. So, if you require evidence of your entitlement to benefit, ask the Dealer which issued the Warranty to you.
  16. George, does your last sentence apply to all CVT`s or just the Lexus e-cvt ? To my knowledge finding hen`s teeth is easier than learning about an unreliable e-cvt !
  17. Some observations. I am not an NX owner but I observe what others remark. F sport implies something which it is not. Ride on 19 or20 inch wheels and low profile tyres might not suit 2 people withBack/Neck problems Sunroof will restrict headroom for tall people Try to borrow for a weekend to experience more than you will in a short number of daylight hours Tahara Leather in Takumi is artificial If an Alfa is on the shortlist, I wonder if you are ready for a Lexus notwithstanding your experience with the Toyota.
  18. Thanks Maurice.I seem to be out of touch.Back to my Weetabix !
  19. Why would one wish to buy 1 or 2 years Maurice, is it not free with the Lexus Warranty ?
  20. Not like you Peter, to stay out so late.🤣🤣 Seriously there is no accounting for the actions and inactions of idiots. I am constanly reminded that the Highway Code is wasted on an inumerable number of so called drivers.
  21. When DRL`s were introduced they only were visible from the front of the car. They were introduced as an idea by Volvo and a Euro Directive incorporated them into car production and everyone did not give any thought to the rear of the vehicle as they were to assist pedestrians who were in front of the car. In recent times it was recognised that many ignorant drivers were using DRL`s as a substitute for vehicle lighting -a practice for which they were not designed and so some manufacturers linked them to rear lighting.
  22. They provide false protection then and dipped headlamps remain my choice as they illuminate the rear of the car.
  23. For Andrew, read Martin Malc. Too much West Country living eh ?🤣
  24. Drl`s don`t illuminate the rear lights,do they Herb ?
