  1. Come on Len, play the white man....how did it end ? Don`t miss next week`s thrilling instalment !
  2. It should be "wonderful"
  3. It is beautiful Philip. What sort of warranty did the Seller give you ?
  4. https://www.lexus.eu/owners/about-my-lexus/manuals/#hero
  5. Possibly Sergio. The RX however might be too big for me and certainly more expensive to run. I NEED TO THINK VERY DEEPLY The GS is now warranted until 2025 and should only need servicing for the next 3 years so would be relatively cheap to keep.
  6. Do you have alink to your RX Alan, I am contemplating a possible change ? He is well aware that Toyota/Lexus have the E-CVT which is not an ordinary cvt and never breaks down. He is full of knowledge re Toyotas/Lexus and I watch him all of the time as I do Matt Goodwin of High Peak Autos.
  7. The ones entitled miscellaneous Paul.👍🤣
  8. Those clicks, clunks and buzzes were one of the first entries mentioned when I read the Owners Handbook more than 10 years ago Paul.👍
  9. The GS is a very fine car. It is very fast with a.top speed limited to 155mph and reaches 60mph in a shade less then 6 seconds. It is not a Sports car,it is not a Drivers car as in BMW, but it remains very quiet at all Motorway speeds in UK and on the Continent. I have driven it from Wirral to Cromarty and on to Dornoch and from Wirral to Lulworth Cove. AND SEVERAL TRIPS to Fallingbostal near Hannover in Germany. It is reasonable with fuel consumption and nudges 40mph average when touring and 33-35 within UK. The suspension firms up when I select POWER mode. It has earned me the only Speeding Ticket I have received and that from that naughty man known as The Procurator Fiscal in Scotland. It is a Wolf in Sheep`s clothing.
  10. Thanks Maurice your comment did not imply to me that you had, hence my question. I have not used it,but I feel that it represents progress in the Sat Nav field.Comments from Herbie, Gdamorini and Len I found are interesting. I must confess that the older I get,the more suspect I become about any view that is expressed in the Press and much prefer to make my own mind up based upon my experience and acquired information.
  11. Thanks Supafly. I have never driven or ridden in an LS400 and so am unable to offer an opinion. My GS is silent on its 17 inch All Weather Kumho tyres and I am more than content with its performance. My Merc is quiet on its 16 inch Michelin Pilots, but not as supreme as the GS.
  12. Have you used it Maurice?
  13. Brent, everything that one sees should not always be believed. My last Annual Service was carried out in late August. I was shown what purported to be an exhaust system underneath my car. I was told that it was blowing and badly corroded and needed replacing at a cost of £800. I know that when I took it in it was not blowing so I did not even consider authorising a replacement. It remains fine today. I do not know if it is badly corroded, but I do know that it is still not blowing!
  14. Mike, any chance of a photo of the body coloured wheel arches please ?
  15. Correct. It is theft pure and simple and Society is far too tolerant of those who do not conform.
  16. Thanks Colin, but not the view the Courts would take if anyone had the resources to challenge.
  17. Exeter is owned by Snows, Bristol by Marshalls and Cheltenham by Listers. Do we smell a Cartel ?
  18. A great informative post Kenny, thanks.👍👍
  19. An occasional Brandy Vlad.
  20. Or my pre-dinner Grants !
  21. Never seen you stuck for words before Mo !🤣👍
  22. So, do try to respect your elders if only once in a while. If I ever get down to your neck of the woods.....you will be toast !🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍
