Welcome Andy. I`ve no experience of the RX, but there are plenty on here who will be along shortly I`ve no doubt. I never use/ apply the Parking Brake except on sloping ground and then I turn the front wheels so as to meet the kerb in the event of the Brake failing.

I find the accompanying text very uninspiring and suspect that 15,000 is on a replacement engine. So it is not surprising that it might well be the only 15,000 mile recorded on a vehicle that has received an M.O.T. Perhaps we shall see. -

Thanks Phil. I did mean Beveridge as he identified in the early 40`s the problems which needed to be addressed. Beavan was the Minister in the Labour Gov`t who overcame fierce opposition to the idea of the N.H.S. Pretty good spot though. Have you seen the Beveridge Hall in the University of London ?
