No, I didn`t spell it right, but I did/do know that it is the most Northly Lighthouse in these wonderful islands of ours.. A reference that was intended to confuse the all thinking ,all knowing Wizard from Eastern Europe, whose knowledge and textual skills know no bounds. Sadly it appears that to confuse Linas one must first confuse ones self.🤣🤣🤣

Paris was only an example. I could have said Muckle Flugger ! It took me to Fallingbostal near to Hannover without a hitch Linas and that was all I needed. It gave my estimated travel time and indicated fuelling stops. I cared not whether I was travelling on the shortest route or the fastest route. It did ask occasionally if I wanted to change the route because of an incident or something. As a Pensioner with time on my hands it bothers me not if I don`t have the latest this or the latest that. It is sufficient for my needs and sits comfortably within the best car I have ever had. And that includes my 18 year old Mercedes Estate !

Same for me Len. My 2010 system is fine for me. Paris is still where Paris was, so no real problem. I am not aware of other more modern systems and facilities, but do I car? No.

Don`t be fooled Doog. HJ is an expert, but the website you used is not the original HJ ! The original HJ site was taken over by a publishing outfit and trades under HJ`s good name. It is important to read all T & C`s but it is not always possible to understand. Your phoning idea is good,but remember to make a note of your call;date, time, name of person spoken to advice rec`d etc.

It is what is contained within the insured`s Contract Doog, not the opinion/view/statement contained in a newspaper/journal etc.

Thanks Paul. Only the experience of Members will tell us how good or bad the Relax Warranty is. My reading of the T&C of the Relax Warranty leads me to the phrase "defects attributable to manufacturing or assembly" which in my view will be near impossible to determine. There has been some mention by some Members of the introduction(possibly on a Dealer by Dealer basis) of a new Lexus Extended Warranty much like the one just withdrawn, covering vehicles up to 15 years old and up to 150,000 miles. Sadly, no official announcement has been issued yet, so far as I am aware.

In an Insurance Contract it is the Insurer that makes the Rules, not the insured. Far better to have told them unnecessarily, than not to have told them at all.

Paul-your first sentence leads me to ask "why would you expect a free warranty to provide the same coverage as provided by the one for which you paid" ? Much has been written on this Forum over the past 6 weeks about the Relax v the Extended Warranty and you do not seem to be aware of it.

Unless I am mistaken Doog`s poor experience with Hedge End was 14 years ago? I have yet to hear a bad report on Hedge End in the 8 years of my Membership of this Forum. Linas is right re the need for a Lexus Standard to be applied uniformally across all Dealerships and this L.O.C Club is a useful source of support and advice for Members who feel aggrieved. Mind you, the efforts that Lexus U.K. has gone to recently, to ensure that a Corporate Message has been transmitted about the new RELAX package, has been lamentable. Still, we must all help each other and we all have a part to play.
