Thanks Barry.
I`ve been with Chester for 10 years since I bought my GS from Richard Clapham ,who is now with Liverpool I believe.
I have been well served by Chester and cannot complain.
Liverpool however always seem to have a wider and more comprehensive selection of pre-owned cars than Chester.
I arranged the detail of my marriage contract some 47 years ago to include " never shop with my wife "🤣👍
You are so right Barry. It is sad that many members criticise Dealers on the Forum without having given the Dealer the opportunity to address matters.
Liverpool seem to be a first class Dealership.
The Dealer who sold you that car is responsible at Law for fixing your problems George at his own cost if the problems surface within 6 months of your purchase.
You let others touch it to correct matters at your peril. Ask Poole for a full written report of what is wrong and then present it to the Dealer for him to resolve the problems.
Quite possibly it is as you suggest Bill.
A poor Service History, a good look and poke at the underside, 12 months M.O.T. new Cambelt and Water Pump needed, POSSIBLY an exhaust system and it might fetch £4.000 ?
I would not wish to own it.
Have you asked Liverpool if they will come and collect your car Barry, as they do for a Member based in Conway ? Perhaps they might collect one day and return it the next day ?
I can envisage monthly targets having been met, it seems sensible to hold back those orders over and above targets to feed them into the system in a later period in order to protect bonus payments.Such action can be accommodated easily by Dealers during waiting times of 12 months or longer and buyers accepting lengthy waiting periods.
I am naturally suspicious of Car Dealers and Bankers, Dippo. You may be too one day.
One should receive immediate confirmation of an order. NO IFS OR BUTS !
I would not put it past a Dealer to defer processing orders so as to ensure that their future monthly targets are met thus ensuring continuity of Corporate and Individuals bonus payments.
Might be helpful to include Reg No. so that potential purchasers can satisfy themselves re its M.O.T. history. Or invite potential purchasers to P.M. you for it ?
On the face of it, it seems like a worthwhile investment for someone asu.
