Many thanks for your replies.
Ishaq, was the kit easy to install? My mechanic mentioned that he may have to remove the bumper to hide the wiring.
Also, would you mind posting a pic of yours?
Thanks.
Hi the install takes 30 mins to an hour and you do not need to take the bumper off.
You will need to take the Air Filter housing off and the windscreen washer pipe off and that it. After that you simply take the bulb cover off, pull out the old bulb and insert your new HID bulbs. Finally wire up your ballast, put everything back and your done!!
I would recommend thou if you do change to HID is to have your side lights which are 501 (T10) changed to LED ones as otherwise you will have them not matching your new HID bulbs and spoil the look. Its best to do it together as its a bit of pain changing the bulbs on these lexus's.
Hope this helps.

The people on the road that have standard headlight, not projector and install HiD are idiots!! They cause so much dazzel which is unbelievable.
If installing on projector headlights then they are okay plus you can direct the bean towards the road. I have MOT done with out any problem.
Don't buy cheap £15 set thou and don't fall for £££ expensive canbus models. Lexus will not show you any error or warning signs with any set.

Hi I had the same issue so got a good HID kit and installed them myself. 100 times better now. Also dazzel is not an issue as Lexus already have projector headlights.
Buy a good set off eBay. I would recommend 55w 6000k for best results. I have had mine on for about 1.5 years and no issue. My set cost me £45
Did try upgraded bulbs but they are crap!

make sure you get the black ones for your car Ish. Look much better. Bit of advice, they come with a white Sport sticker on them that stand out like a sore thumb. Best thing to do is put the deflector where the sticker is in hot water to loosen the glue and then with a Bic biro pen lid scrap the sticker off carefully. Once done then use some WD40 to remove the glue residue. Job done. Look great and on a dark car look wicked. Let me know if you need pics of mine
Hi Arqum, just got the wind deflectors and as you advised taken the Cilmair sticker off by putting under hot water and then wiping the glue with WD40. Cant tell if anything was ever stuck on :)
Will install and upload photos when the rain stops...cant wait!!
Thanks for your advise.

I had my car Engine Carbon Cleaned by a 30 minute service were Hydrogen gets pumped through the air inlet. I have done this service June 2014 and August 2015 - My car drives like a dream, sometimes when I am stationary it feels like I have stalled. I have even had comments from some people why my car is so silent - Is it hybrid...LOL Anyone interested then they come to you if you are in or around London, they might do outside of M25 aswell..Let me know.
I now use Shell Nitro at every fill due to this being my local - sometimes they have massive ques so I use Momentum

You would order the US version Lexus IS. They do the front and rear or you can call them to specify which tint you want.
-
Perfect!! Thanks Arqum as the logo was the only thing I didnt like LOL!
Will go with your advise and get the black tint.
Please send a picture of yours if you dont mind, cant wait to see what they look like.

Update: I have decided to go for the Climair wind deflectors so called them and secured a 10% discount for LOC members.
They come in three different colours, Clear, Smoke Tint and Black so its best to call them to order which then takes 2-3 weeks for delivery. You can also order online on UK site and put a note for your colour choice and then discount can also be applied:

Climair do a great set. Better than Heko. They do them for all 4 doors
Thanks Arqum. Do you know if they are in channel ones as I dont want the stick on type with 3m.
-
So I thought about getting some wind deflectors as I saw on another Lexus IS250 and looked really good.
Now the thing is I have looked high and low and just can not find the Team Heko tinted 4pc set for front and rear. eBay only do 2pc for front or full set only for IS250 2013>
Anyone know any other in channel set for 2006 model any advice or if you already have them, where do you buy them from.
Thank you

I think mine might me seizing again as I feel something holding me back and not as nippy. Had a look at ECP
So frustrating and this really lets the car down.
-
Guys if I buy after market calipers say from ECP will it be better or will it still sieze
-
Hi, Does anyone have any car mats for sale.
I have a 2006 IS250.
Thank you

You should re-use the shims when replacing with genuine brakes as shims are not included.
Also some after market pads have a raised surface or a rubber sticker that come with them to install.
If you ever need to buy shims then they are £40-£50 so not cheap as I have found.

Thanks Venator.
Just bought a new luggage and was full of those little pouches. Will give this a go and update soon.
-
Quick update..
Had a look everywhere and all corners but no damage. Checked bulb covers and again all intact so maybe I am missing something.
Crappy weather is here now so believe it will get worse, maybe have no other option but to look for a second hand replacement but they not cheap.
On second thoughts eBay have a custom pair from Taiwan which is the newer DRL style light but dont know if they will be a plug and play stuff.
Thanks for all your help guys.

Hi Duncan,
I have one I can recommend but they are North London, so I doubt that would be of use to you.
Hi M
If you dont mind sharing the details of your North London recommendation that will be great.
Thank you

Someone suggested that I fold a towel a few times then place over the light and leave for 10 minutes with full beam. Going to give this a go and see what happens before I go any further.
Your right it is bad and looks bad in person as it kills the image of my car.
I am bad with DIY so may leave to professionals if I need to dismantle

It's seen quiet sunny last few days but still not cleared the mist

It was raining and I did wash the car a few days ago and was there when it rained.

Hi Guys, mines stills smokes...LOL
But i have no problems and car drives like new. I use V-Power and Tesco 99 when there is to much wait at Shell.
I have had 2 Engine Carbon Cleans done which is once a year and can not fault the performance and enjoyment I get every time I drive my car. It is so smooth that sometimes it feels like the car engine is off.....
