Did this all by hand and took me about 3 hours - really easy to do and has added a deep black colour and depth to the car. Really pleased with th end results

LOL!!! I bought some of the Mr Muscle pad with the pink stuff on to get the grit off. Then will buff up with brasso. Asked wifey if she can do the same on the exhaust as she does on the kettle...she told me to #%*%#~<#%^!\ 😬

Hi G, Wifey gave me some brasso. Is that the same or shall get some Autosol? She uses brasso on the kettle and other stuff around the home and says it's the same stuff for metal. Sorry for all the questions matey...thanks

Hi, I think I saw a repair service on ebay. Type in Lexus IS250 sat nav and you will find one a around £250 and read the description it will say this is a repair service. Will try and look for the link for you as Sat Nav is a must which controls a lot of the toys not to mention air con. The biggest spend will be in the iridium spark plugs which are not cheap. Well worth getting a reputable mechanic do the job and you will have to take the top off the engine. This is a premium car so be ready to pay premium price for some items as it's not worth saving a few bob on ****y parts. Good luck mate

Welcome to Lexus matey. I had my 60K Service 9000 miles ago and cost me £800 at Lexus Woodford. You can try JEMcar in Collindale NW9. Their service starts at £100 plus you can get courtesy car for £10, worth giving them a call or google them they have a website. Good Luck and enjoy....but really you should have gone for an auto its wicked!!!!

Thanks Allan, Collindale is not that far for me especially of the garage is honest and reliable. How much did it cost you for the service? I just had mine serviced at KwikFit for £100, and they were good but there are mixed reviews online, however I thinks it's certain branches that are bad.

Thanks Allan, Mine has 69000 on the clock. Will consider a engine flush on the next service. Any recommendation on what engine flush to use? Also will just draining it work or does the sump tray have to come out. (i mean will it cause any harm if a little of the flush remained whilst putting the new oil in)

Hi, I got a new battery 2 months ago brand new from Lexus and cost me £89. I did some reasearch and in the end went to the dealer as the price was not that different to others, but had the peace of mind that it was the correct one and the terminals the correct way round. I would agree with Normski, to reaplace with new battery if yours has been in there since new. Its very heavy to carry thou. My car was dead to I had to carry it on the Tube and back home.

Hi Allan, That's interesting you say they are quiet as mine make a fast "thsss thsss thsss thsss......" noise when I start the engine and sings for a while but does reduce after the engine has fully warmed up...but doesn't go away completely.

I would also agree that the service vary branch to branch hence why the feedback is so bad online re KwikFit. I needed a oil change on my IS250 and most of the quotes I was getting was like £150-200 just for an oil change and filter. Looked at KwikFit and booked a intermediate service at £100 at the London E2 branch. However after booking I saw so many negative feedback that my stomach started to turn. Anyways on the day I was greeted by someone at KwikFit. I asked for them to confirm the type of oil they are using and he replied Titan Semi Synthetic as it was on the manufacturer spec. I told them that I always use fully synthetic. Guy said no worries and ordered new Super Titan FS oil while I waited :) I was very happy with the service and will use them again.

Hi, I asked the dealer for a spare key and they said £250 + VAT. I did however get a used one off ebay for £30 and tried my dealer to see if they can programme it for me...the answer was no!! I called around a few independent locksmith who say they can do it for sure and the process is that you have at least one working key, then they uninstall all keys from the ECU system and then reinstall all keys back in a cycle. The prices were varied from £70 - £150 in London. I have yet not done this so if you get any luck please let me know.

Hi, yes they are very easy to change. Also if you are going to do it you might as well change them to LED. Ebay sell them for about £4 don't worry if they are not canbus as some sellers will try to charge you by saying canbus - error free. These bulbs are as normski said but are also called 501 bulbs see ebay item number: 370834202219

What HID kit did you choose....I choose the 6000K 35W

When you removed the filter and MAF, did you test your lights after install whilst filters were off as this will trigger the engine lights to the dash. I don't think you will loose your radio but you will need to reSync your windows all of them. You just need to open full and close all the way at all doors. You will see flashing light which will go off once syncd.

Hi Shannon, Don't know why the lights are on your dash as I did my HID lights a few weeks ago had no issues. The only reason I think it could happen is because you have to take the filter out to install the drivers side and this may have caused it. Solution: Take off your negative terminal on the battery and leave for 5 minutes, then reconnect and you will be fine. Hope this helps.
