Lexus Reading have increased their price £295, but he said he will talk to his manager and see if they can do anything.
Will call him tomorrow as I have told them it was done for £250 last year inc VAT
-
Thanks mraines,
Reading is far from me but for good service and price I don't mind traveling. Did you have to wait around for long, I mean is it a few hours work or all day.
-
Giving them a call now...LOL!!! - Thanks
Would cost me £190 for pump and fitting plus £40 for coolant - £250 seems fair deal
-
They're both correct.
The first is for an IS220D, the second for an IS250.
They have completely different engines, hence completely different water pumps!
Thanks John,
I shall be ordering the second one from US as much cheaper including tax and postage. UK is £150 - US is £87.00
-
Help please - There is two different water pumps :(
Which one is correct:
Thank you

Thanks Newbie.
Just had a look and there is exactly the same stuff in ECP super long life pink coolant which I can get my hands on by the weekend. Both are ethanol/glycol based so I am hoping Toyota and EPC will be the same.
Here's the link: http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/car-accessories/winter-essentials/antifreeze-coolant/red-anti-freeze/?523770482&0&cc5_866
Thanks for that.....now I need a water pump!!!
-
Thanks Exdee. Will call around dealers tomorrow as not much available online or eBay Lexus Store.
My coolant is on the bottom line so should be okay for a while until I get the parts.

Hi I know this topic is a bit old now but I too now at 70k miles need a water pump and coolant.
Does anyone know where I can buy the parts from as I have a ex Lexus Woodford specialist who will carry out the work for £100.
I know it's needs pink coolant....is this dealer only
Any recommendations please as I am very low on coolant
Thank you

I'm going to be attempted this at some point, just so I can burn some mp3s to a DVD to listen to!
Anyone done it recently and have any tips?
Alex I would like to do this as well but haven't had the guts to take everything apart and cant bare the thought of loosing features.
Let me know if you do get it done successfully.

Hi Guys.....I am having the Carbon clean tonight so will let you know how it goes and if it makes any difference.
-
Guys just got the Denso hybrid wipers fitted and can say they are super!! Very clean sweep no noise or streaks. On sale in Euro Car Parts so bonus. It's the same as OEM
-
-
Has anyone looked at the Michelin stealth wiper blades on Ebay , these look the same as my oe blades.
Michelin ones are not Hybrid and do not have the bendy bit on both ends like the OEM one have.
The Denso is the exact match to the Hybrid Lexus ones
-
Let us know how you get on Ishaq.
I want to do mine too. Got some fancy Bosch ones last time. They are a bit noisy if the rain is light. So I would prefer to go back to OEM. Unfortunately threw away the OEM blades as I thought I was upgrading...
Will let you know Exdee. They should be with me on Monday.
Your right about the Bosch ones being noisy. I got the supersilenso ones but had to replace within a week or two with cheap flat one from eBay.
-
Yeah they do and also on sale.
Normski am I right in ordering 20" for passenger side and 22" for driver side?
Thanks
-
Denso make wipers for the iS250. You can get OEM ones but branded Denso instead of Lexus from
May be cheaper here....20" blade £9
Thats great Normski!! Good price they are on sale.
Its better to buy the whole thing rather than buy just the rubber from Lexus at almost the same price.

Thanks for the link but breakers don't sell it here and want me to buy the whole clipper tried many today. May just have to order some from US. Lexus Edingburgh want £60. Shame so much more is available in the US than UK
Gonna try the grease this weekend.
-
Lexus Edingburgh want £22 for the pair delivered
-
Yeah it £6 for LH and £9 for RH side

I assume that the shims (anti squeak plates) were cleaned and lubricated and everything went back in as it should.
My first guess would be you have something caught on the brake rotor itself, or damage to the surface, does a visual inspection reveal anything? Check everything is tight whilst you're there.
Hi Mouser, thank you for your reply.
Actually I have one of the shims missing on the pad. Come to think of it that's where the noise is coming from. However a friend told me that it doesn't matter.
Will look closely after work. Thank you
-
Do they look like:
Yes - I know it needs a wash! :P
Yippee!! They are the same so I guess it's original.
I changed to some flat aero ones from eBay but am not too happy with the results, however the ones I took off which is exactly the same as yours Ian looked to good to throw away and also the design was not normal wipers or like flat one. Glad I still have them.
Will be ordering a pair from Official Lexus eBay store for £15 delivered :)
Thank you
-
Hi, how do I know if mines are Lexus OEM as I also need to replace them but now thinking of just the rubber at £15.
The ones I have on are not standard wiper or flat so assuming its the Lexus Hybrid, but is there a way of checking?
To describe them it would be where the connector goes is flat and then has bendy bits on each side that adapt to the windscreen.
Thank you

Hi All,
So I changed my brake disc and pads with genuine Lexus parts about a month ago. All was fine until for past week or two there is a click/Tick noise when I apply the brake pedals.
This noise is annoying and a bit loud when I am slowing down or going below 5MPH. I hate it as when the car is all washed and looking sexy in the black colour coming to a stop make this stupid noise and people look :( not at the car but wonder where this noise is coming from.
Had a look on forums but could not find anything?
I have lubricated the slider pins
Used genuine parts
Any suggestions please?
