I think the seller had to reregister as new seller because he was banned for mentioning Toyota and Lexus on his ad. eBay took him off so hence why he has 1 feedback.
Hi can you set the auto lock so that when you drive off the doors look automatically, then open when you go back into park mode. I have a second child who is 8months old and already knows how to open the doors :(
I did take my car to Lexus but they said this feature is not available....maybe because I did not have a full service with them as when I called the service manager said yes pop in we will do it free for you. That was Sidcup Lexus BTW
Thanks John for the reminder. I wasn't offering the disc out to everyone nor asking anyone to PM me their details to post the manual out.
I dropped my aux input under the centre arm rest and couldn't get it back out. The manual gave me step by step how to get the whole centre console and armrest off. I was then able to put the aux back to position.
What does this mean when I enter VIN: 20/04/2011 certain Lexus, Highlander, Avalon: Rubber Cup Brake Master Cylinder replacement This European safety campaign has been applied to this vehicle. Completed ZKBA-084
I have a Technician Disc for IS250 that I use from time to time. It has diagrams and instructions for everything.
Very easy to follow - but I don't know how to upload on to the forum as I have it burned to a disc.
Hi just got the water pump today from Kimber Car Parts at only £84 the cheapest I found. I got the BluePrint ADT391103
http://www.kimbercarparts.co.uk/cooling-heating/Water-Pumps/Lexus/IS250/all/2.5/2006/Parts.aspx
When I opened the box I saw that the Toyota sign has been etched off and there is a sticker saying AISIN - so this means that this is a genuine Toyota part manufactured by AISIN for Toyota and Lexus and also sold to BluePrint. Lexus charge £140 for the part so its a bargain!!!
Coolant coming from Toyota Ebay a company called SnowGroup 10 Liters for £70 - Saving £10 free delivery as Lexus is £80
Fitting - £100 - - - - - - Total Cost - £254
Water Pump: BluePrint ADT391103 = £84 KimberCarParts very good service and the cheapest.
Pink Super Long Life Coolant: £70 - Toyota EBay a company called SnowGroup. Lexus would be £80 so save £10 plus free delivery to your home
Labour is £100 but he is also fixing a clicking noise from my pads where s previous mech lost my clips. I got a rear brake fitting kit from US eBay Lexus Conocord for £29.
Last week he did a lower ball joint on drivers side at my home. Part supplied and fitted for £95 plus he did the work after I returned home from work 7pm.
Nice guy call him or save his number.
I think garages use other fully synthetic oil so service is £85 inc parts and labour. Obviously you can request Castrol Edge at your expenses and will add a few bob more.
Hi I had this happen to me two weeks ago where the coolant was sprayed everywhere by the aux belt on the water pump. My coolant was also below the low marker.
I had a Lexus specialist look at the car and he said its a failed or about to fail water pump. Anyway I have ordered a new water pump and more coolant to be fixed next week.
I too do not see any mayonnaise around the oil cap or water tank, nor does my car over heat -
Fingers crossed its just the water pump!!
My car is 2006 petrol 250 with 70K on the clock
Hi Exdee,
How did your 80K service go with Croydon?
There is a ex Lexus technician from Woodford that carries out work from him garage for anyone interested. He is based in Hainault but also comes to you for servicing.
Hi guys can I please ask for you opinion?
1. Buy parts myself £150 plus fit by ex Lexus tech for £100 = £250 plus he will give the car a inspection drain and fill coolant plus address a ticking noise on my rear breaks but this due to the pad need refitting.
2. Lexus dealer fixed price £295. This seems a good deal but would they try and fob me off with other items like...oh you need new aux belt or rad or something like that.
I know my wife will always say for the sake of £30-40 it's better to go to the dealer.
Thanks Chumps...I was looking at that just now reading on forums. Placing my order tomorrow.
BTW will be sticking to the Pink Toyota Coolant as for £40 for 5L don't want to do anymore damage.
Will update in a few weeks as parts coming from US except coolant is from stealers in Woodford
Thanks everyone for all your help!!!
