Ok,got the MR2 Mk1 clear side repeaters,still not right but closer than the mk4 ls400 ones. I dremeled out the slots a little and the bulb holder fits now,but not impressed with the clip that holds the unit to the wing.although fitted now as i will not be beaten mk4 ls400 on the left,MR2 middle and mk3 ls400 on the right -
Had the bonnet open today,just a top up of the washer bottle AGAIN And i recall a youtube video of our special car doing this. So here is my rendition of it with my nearly 200,000 miler :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJx6isKzgAg

My mk3 is my daily drive,its a 16 mile round trip 5 days a week,weekends are varied conditions and miles. I average 23 mpg as i work it out from full to empty,it was worse when the EGR pipe was leaking 19 MPG !! Im alot happier now,considering its a 4.0 V8,another chap at work runs a jag 4.0 sov and cant touch the lex on such good mpg. -

Well that pic was taken last year,is200 sportcross was nice,but it just gave me the bug for Lexus.so the gs300 (Aristo) was bought cheap with a wheel bearing gone,liked that to until the LS400 came along,IS and Aristo have been sold,as the missus was given me grief,no idea why But this Old Audi fills the gap in the Summer :) -
Well my mk3 came with documented lexus history until 110,000 and the chap i bought it off did oil changes every 6000 approx,which i can well believe now as the oil is still very clear and shes at 189,000,and still pulls like a train. I have not driven a mk4 yet,although i will probably stick with the mk3 as i like its squarer front end amongst its many other plus points :-)

Now fixed :) EGR pipe to manifold now blanked off with no adverse affects to running. Sounds really sweet now its not chuffing like an old tractor from under the bonnet. and i think it must have been the original o ring on the power steering reservoir,as it broke in 2 it was that brittle !!

Steve,i only changed the battery in my only remote and it went tits up so the scorpion system dont like change or being disturbed ! i will be replacing mine soon with a hawk remote start system soon :)

Indeed,tried fitting mine and my mk3 has three tangs on the bulb holder,contacted seller and they have given me full refund,and keep the items,so out with the dremmel 2morrow as 2 of the tangs line up,and also need fettling on the top edge as the hole in the wing is not a full rectangle. Im sure i saw somewhere that MR2 mk1 was the same,but never actually seen any to confirm.

Zurich done me £208 in june last year for the lexxy and £162 for the Audi cab,so musent grumble really,still look around when the renewals come round though as hate the whole insurance paying out every year for other Numptys just not looking where there going etc etc etc

Hope they don't ruin the silent ride,i picked up 2 runners from local second hand Tyre place tother day,well noisey !! i took um back and got a pair of regular tyres,don't mind a bit of tail happy driving :)

Nice setting there Brian :-) no worries post away. Been raining all day today :-( and not touched the car for 2 days as been doing the hostess with the mostess.stuffed now ! and so are all our guests :-) Must have a look at the old girl next few days,washer warning light is on !!!!!! ;-)

Bugger,carried out procedure by the book this afternoon,one of the resistors was indeed loose so soldered back in place. All plugged back in and still no illumination when lights are switched on :-( Back light fine without lights on. So i think i will try find me a secondhand unit from a few mates that banger the old LS !!!!!!
