  1. My 2013 car came with Yokohama DB e70. Fronts lasted about 28k and lease company replaced them with identical ones. Rears are less than half worn done 33k now.
  2. I edited my reply about area as thought I was a bit biased, just wouldn't want to walk around there myself. Also strange is fact all Lexus are showing as taxed, I though when you sold to dealer now you have to surrender tax yourself? Plus Director was director of High Spec Prestige Ltd, which was dissolved in 2015. The high spec car pics, Porsche, Audi, RangeRover etc all seem to have been taken in summer as leaves on trees. could be perfectly okay though....
  3. Not heard of this company before, and advert at bottom mentions selling cars on your behalf. Photos look well presented though and appear to have been taken on site, strange that they have so many CTs in stock.
  4. I have had a couple as courtesy cars when mine has been in for a service, couldn't really notice much difference apart from the steering wheel controls which felt a bit cheap and tacky and I missed my sat nav flipping up into place. If I was looking to change again, I would opt for a used IS300h compared to a new CT - difference is remarkable.
  5. Has got to have a plug in version and not a striped down version of the car like in the Prius, want all the toys. current tax status for company car users makes a plug in a no brainer. On my lease scheme I can get a Mercedes C350 plug in costing 40k for £50pm (inc BIK tax) less than my Lexus costs me, and a Mitsubushi Outlander £120pm cheaper.
  6. It's because you have it in auto mode and it's clever enough to realise no point in pushing cold air around the car until the engine has warmed enough to make a difference though. Having said that mine comes on after about a mile/ 3 mins. If you have used car already in day, there is still a bit of warmth in engine so it will come on quicker. If you want some initial air to blow to clear the windscreen, just it the button to switch to max screen, but won't warm up any quicker.
  7. I have never used the screen which is supposed to help with parallel parking, all the flags are confusing! However the normal reversing mode I would not be without. The two sets of line you get the first one which tends to be curved, shows the path that the car will follow if you keep the steering as it is - I find it useful if looking at the picture alone you think you are going to hit something a few feet away, but the curved line (think it's the blue one) shows that you will miss it if you keep on your current path. If you turn the wheel more you will see the blue line move in line with the steering input. The yellow ones I think show if you straightend up where you would end up, I find when reversing in my drive to use the blue curved line as I swing into the drive to make sure I am not going to his the neighbours low hedge, then I turn the wheel to straighten up on the drive by getting the blue and yellow lines to line up together. Now realise I may have got this wrong way round, but it's because with plenty of practice it becomes second nature. I hate reversing in all our other cars as non have the feature - even the little Smatt Car is more awkward to park.
  8. I have the full Sat Nav on my 2013.Luxury and there aren't any speed camera warnings unfortunately. Think it only came with the Facelift models, though not sure if the Advance models with the more basic Tom Tom kit has it, as most portable Tom toms have e feature.
  9. Has the airbag been switched off? Think the key is in the glovebox or passenger edge of the dashboard, should stay illuminated if the air bag is off.
  10. If I recall the sensor was in the rear tailgate or boot panels area when they did it
  11. On my 2013 there is a switch by the courtesy lights to disable the interior sensors each time you lock up? My car had problem the first day it was delivered and pretty sure I did this until the dealer turned down the sensitivity of the interior sensor.
  12. My Ivory seats have done 30k now and are still like brand new (even with 3 kids), just wipe over with Dr Leather wipes once a month, can't fault them - same for steering wheel.
  13. If this works it could be really useful. Got my car stuck on some level wet grass a couple of weeks ago, very embarrassing. When a similar thing happened a few years ago in another car, switching of the TC got me moving in seconds.
  14. Ground clearance is fine for things like speed bumps, but be careful if you are trying to drive a car up a kerb to park off road as there isn't much room under the spoiler. Main thing to be aware of is the doors open very close to ground and if you open the door against the pavement it's easy to catch the bottom of the door if the kerb is only a little higher than usual. So check under doors to see if the bottom corner doesn't have any paint missing. Have had to touch mine up several times.
