Hey guys,
I need some new front tyres and dont know what size to get. Currently I have a set of 2005 subaru STI alloys on my car and they came with 235/45/17 on all corners.
Some people recommend smaller tyres on the front ao should I just get some 225/45/17s?
Thanks

Also check your ball joints.. I had a knockingnoise fron the front a couple months back, replaced the ball joints and is all sorted now.. Worth a check :)

Seems overly bright.. Possibly if it was a bit dimmer I could like it but looks a bit tacky if you ask me

I believe the grom audio device is supposed to be best in the IS.. I dont know myself as I don't have an Iphone but I never have liked the FM adapters as all the ones I've heard give terrible quality but suppose it depends how much you like your music

I also recently had an accident and in need of a passenger side rear light, I found it was easier and cheaper buying both rears from a breaker on eBay for £50 cause then I know if it wrong on one side then i can change the other too :).. Best of luck

For tyres i recommend Good Year eagle f1 assymetric 2s.. Can get them for £90 each on camskill or about £110-120 fitted at a garage. I recently got 2 on my rears and theyre brilliant.. Good wet gripand apparently good on fuel.
As for the alloys I dont know about them being different

Also if yiu want to save a bit on tax get a slightly older one.. Mines 2000 reg and its £235~ a year i believe from 01 onwards its £400+.. Sanes car just a bit older :)

Its all down to personal preference if you think they look good then go for it..my opinion is they look ok.. The bottom leds make it look cheap though.. But again depends on the look you want

Ive just got 2 new GoodYear eagle f1 assymetric 2s on mine and they are excellent.. The grip is amazing even in the wet.. Highly recommend :)

They look a lot like the spyder autos lights in america (wouldnt be surprised if theyre made by the same people) http://www.spyderauto.com/m/m_product.php?id=PRO-YD-LIS01-HID-DRL-C
Looks good but should always be careful when ordering from such a distance on eBay

Hubcentric ones should be fine as its basically just pushing out the spigot so the alloy is still resting on it.. Mine have been on roughly a month with 0 problems :)

Hey everyone.. Had a little accident yesterday on the motorway and need a replacement passenger side rear light.. Wondering if anyone has one going spare around somerset as I need it today preferably. Thanks :)

Ye I understand this but most of them have either way too many buttons on or look cheap and the decent looking ones are a lot more.. Might just stick to the original plan of a Grom kit and just using usb

Hey guys just looking for some thoughts and opinions on this stereo http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/ANDROID-CAR-DVD-ANDROID-LEXUS-IS200-CAR-DVD-GPS-NAVI-CAR-TV-USB-SD-RADIO-IPOD/812518_583457518.html
To me it looks perfect for what I want (plain, simple, multiple inputs, and looks fairly standard) although it seems a bit pricey?
Also does anyone know if it would plug directly in?
Thanks

I shouldnt imagine so as theyrethe same car basically.. But I may be wrong?

Another thing to try is a lower model so an SE or lower. I was gunna go for a sport myself but they wanted £100-200 more just cause it says sport and the LSD.. Not worth it if you ask me
-
£210 a month sounds like your getting robbed mate.. Who it with? And I hope they got the car for you as well at that price!

The best thing I've learnt is that in the first few years of driving you best bet it to shop around every year. I always just go for the cheapest most obscure company I find on compare the market or similar and have had no problems dealing with them in the past.
-
Best bet is to go on a comparison site, thats where I found mine. I'm 22 with 2 years no claims on my own policy 3rd party f&t is £750 for the year.. Even having my mum as a second driver only dropped it by £20
-
Wow thank you sir :).. Oxford is a bit far but if I can get them cheap enough it would definitely be worth the trip :)
-
Brilliant thanks Chris :).. Won't be buying it just yet as I have a few things I need to do to the car before I start making it look good so will keep an eye out for an original until I can get it :)
Thanks guys

Ye I saw that one the other day but doesnt seem as nice looking as the TTE ones for some reason?.. Might just be me.. What do you guys think?

Damn..Just out of curiosity and I know this is probs a silly question but does anyone know the price brand new?

Would 225/45 fit ok on an 8" wide alloy ok? Can save £10 per tyre just by going down from a 235/45
