  1. Hi Guys, I'm very happy to say I have sorted out my issue. Picked up the batteries this afternoon, connect the negative terminal on the car battery, the alarm started sounding, then I just disarmed it as per normal. Doors are locking and unlocking as per normal. Thanks for the advice.
  2. Ahhh, thanks for the reassurance guys. I would have a really bad day at work today worrying myself about this. At least now I have some assurance all will be ok ;-) Ambrosejohn - Google tells me it's a cr1616, but I also opened the remotes to confirm. Definitely cr1616.
  3. Hi guys, Recently, my remote for my is200 has been working intermittently, it appeared to be a dying battery. I meant to get a new one this week, but didn't end up driving the car at all. So, I decided to take her out for a spin this evening, and the car would not unlock. The light on the remote looked very dim.....so, i thought I would open the door with the key...big mistake! The alarm went off and I could not disarm it as the battery was dead. Thought I would run upstairs and get the spare which I last used 2 years ago. That one was completely dead. Even the light wouldn't flash when I pressed the buttons on the spare. Being late on a Sunday evening, I couldn't find a store which has the battery in stock. I had to pull the negative terminal off the battery as the alarm was just going crazy. I can easily pick up a replacement battery for the remote....CR1616....but am worried now that I might have to reprogram something to get it all working fine again. Would it just be a matter of replacing the batteries in the remotes, putting the negative terminal back on the car battery and disarming the alarm? Any advice would be appreciated.
  4. Thanks a lot for the compliments Carly and Laurence. Appreciate that! ;-) Pete - NIce to hear from you again - good luck with the purchase of the GS400..... be sure to post pics!
  5. Wow...that is an awesome example of an IS. Well done and congrats on the purchase. Those wheels suit the car perfectly. I have been looking for an 18 inch wheel for my car and have found nothing which I think looks better than the stock alloys. Besides, it's a bit blasphemous to change the original (iconic!) wheels I think. Your wheels however, really do the lines of the car justice and whoever fitted them really has taste! Good work .....enjoy driving her! I have the same spoiler on my car (painted mine piano black)
  6. Mine is going to be 15 years old next month and doesn't miss a beat (touch wood) I'd say keep it......I'm sure it has lots of life left in it.
  7. Finally installed my old sound system in the car...... 1 X 12" Pioneer Sub SPL Dynamics Splits upfront Sony Xplod 6X9's in the rear (I hate 6x9's, but they fitted without any modification) 200w x 2 amp for the sub 200w x 4 amp for the front and rear speakers ....sounds pretty decent ;-)
  8. Very nice! Congrats on your new wheels. Also love the colour.
