  1. 'oil and filter change with every service' I read this as oil and oil filter change, surely if it meant air filter it would say air filter. Happy to admit I'm wrong.
  2. I finally checked, yes mine is dated the same 01/07/23
  3. Blimey, I'm not going to reply using my phone again! What an absolute shambles the above was.
  4. I'm not sure to be honest, I'm out of the country at the moment,I will check when I return. I recently bought a new sdcard from satnavshop plugged it in as per instructions, updated everything but maps wouldn't load, contacted them, they sent a replacement within days, everything is good. I 100% recommend them.

  6. I'm betting there was something starting with J!! I returned to Lexus about 6 months ago after a miserable time with an unreliable J!!
  7. Totally agree! Not everyone wants an SUV!
  8. I'd moved back from the USA, zero no claims......so I had a Mokka for a year to get my NCD on the board, then a Jag XE which I loved, but after 2 blown turbos I've come home. 😛
  9. Technically not a new member, but had 3 years without a Lexus so I guess I regrew my virginity. Just picked up a 68 plate Is300h, just drove 300 miles in it. I'm so happy to be back!
  10. Alright Janner (that was said in my best West Country accent) Used to work with a ton of Janners in Brizzul lol
  11. Oh yeah, I've driven in snow.................normal road tyres, as long as you don't drive like a ***** its fine, Its usually all the other people around who drive way too quick Normal answer do everything slowly, no sharp turning, braking etc
  12. Yeah it works, well as well as something can in a RWD car! Think its sets you off in 2nd, and keeps the changes lower down
  13. To be fair if you leave it off you just more of the 'Lexus' experience which is smooth and quiet, gentle upshifts and downshifts The car is never going to be a snarling beastie, but leaving the switch on can surprise the Beemers and Audi drivers who 'own' the roads and sit on your backside (or in your boot!) demanding they get past lol
  14. Mine is on permanently, I like the sharper and higher revving gear changes, car is more responsive MPG is not affected, unless your boot is heavier lol
  15. Well as the saying goes f**k them! Must admit when i go on the compare sites its always funny to see the quotes range from 300ish up to 2000 for them same details Good luck, I'm an insurance slut, the renewal quote is usually a joke so I just go somewhere else
  16. I just know the newer licences nowadays are very basic, whereas us old farts automatically have minibus and trucks etc, the new passed don't I only know this because my wife being American had to take her test here, and had very little on her licence that i have Just thought if maybe your were getting a quote on a minibus etc your licence would not be valid, but you must be an oldish fart lol
  17. Assume you were getting a quote for a car, certain licence types cannot hire minibus/7.5 tonner truck
  18. Had a load of cars, but first was Mk3 Cortina 1600GXL with wood everywhere Cost me £200 and £250 to insure! Loved it, got nicked 3 times, you could start the thing with anything resembling a key Worst car was an Allegro, what a heap of junk good old BL!
  19. Yes I know its not car based but it was in the boot!
  20. Fixed the landladies lawnmower (yes I mean lawnmower lol) wouldn't start, regapped plug, cleaned air filter sorted Sense of achievement!
  21. I'm afraid not, until I saw on here I really didn't know it was supposed to have one!
  22. Blimey I always wondered what the hooks were for!
