    I had a starting problem with my Toyota Avensis diesel just before I bought my Lexus IS220d. The starter motor was slack, moving about 5mm. It did start now and then but was poor. Might be worth grabbing it to see if it is slack.

      Thanks Steve. I have always wanted a Lexus and just last week I finally got one. I have a few niggling faults though. It was a private sale so I have no comeback. I joined in the hope your Members can help resolve some of them. Fortunately they all appear to be minor ones. I look forward to many good years as both a Lexus owner and Club member. Thanks.
